Dungeons and Dragons ? Yu - Gi - Oh ? WoW Trading Cards ? Pokemon ? A DECK OF CARDS ? Looks like Valve is cashing in on this ! But it seems like a good concept, but I would just collect these. Unless it WAS meant for collecting instead of "Battling"

eh... i doubt that this will pick up as a card form. I'm sure there will be a couple of really hardcore players who buy a set but i don't see it getting on it's own two feet. As for a competitive game it seems really really out of its own league. MTG, Yugioh, WoW-TCG, even Pokemon (yeah, i know >.>) have extremely expansive worlds which is something TF2 doesn't quite have. It runs itself on simplicity.
 
If you read the text of the blog, they're just sharing some concept artwork and ideas they realized would never be put into use.

Guess this means that I'll never get the opporotunity to say "You've activated my Sap card!"
 
Forget playing cards..where are the plush Pyros and miniature Sentries? :(
 
I want teamfortress action figures SOOOOOOOOOOO bad. The plush pyro and mini sentry sound awesome too. But Yeah I want a poseable demoman figure that comes with the bottle of scrumpy
 
A wild pyro appears! Carmine uses grenade launcher... it was not very effective!
 
When I read "Mini Sentry" I thought of those little motion-activated robots they were selling to kids a while ago for guarding their rooms...

I can just imagine someone walking by my computer and having a little sentry turn and fire foam darts at them. Or airsoft pellets.

It'd have to come with a little magnetic sapper that shut it down.
 
I would love the mini-sentry. But it should also come with a mini sapper attachment :)

And there should be TF2 wind-up dolls where you pull a string and it talks to you.
 
I like how in the pics of the Valve office the have a Mac SE. I remember having one of those, and what a HUGE step up from the Apple IIe I had before it was! A GUI OS? What's that!?!
