Vac server issues

Recently I had a power outage. When I came back online a couple hours later I noticed that steam friends is down for me. I also tried playing tf2 like crazy and I keep getting d/ced due to VAC server issues. I have no idea what thta means other than the support post that valve has and none of them check out. I reset my firewall, then turned it off. I took off the router and plugged directly into the modem. Basically I'm saying that none of the suggestions woked except pluggin all 40 ports into the firewall(which would take about 45 min for me.) I'm basically asking if anyone has any suggestions that might help.

validate gcf files, if that doesn't fix, reinstall tf2.
If that doesn't work, reinstall steam.
If that doesn't work, buy another copy of tf2 on another account.

it could be your router. Do you have a linksys or d link router? The pouter outage could've broke a part in your router.

eachdriad, since you had a power outage and your comp was on maybe TF2 lost a few files, remove steam + all your games and reinstall steam and get your games DLed.
