it goes:
cpu into socket, then thermal paste.

not:
thermal paste into socket then cpu.

Are your fans working? And have you cleaned them recently?
I was getting some 88 deg warnings and this fixed it.

CSGO always cooked my CPU. I installed a giant cooler to fix the issue. Not sure why, I know CSGO is CPU intensive but no other games or tasks cooks it like CS
