Friend of mine wants to build a pc

I will say, typically, Ryzen is the better deal, but with parts being so high, I guess both sides have seen big increases in sale price.

This build is good, you have the ability to upgrade down the road as well, and the GPU is a 30 series at a good price so pretty baller.

Would recommend you get thermal compound as well.

I think it’s good all around (I do recommend trying to get a 12th gen intel, or possibly 5000 ryzen if possible)

An i5 trying to run a 3060 is gonna experience some major bottlenecking I think
No sir he wont actually its a great fit tbh. While running general tasks, processor Intel Core i5-10400 will be utilized 99.6% and graphic card NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 will be utilized 100.0%. GPU bottle neck is way better than CPU! And based off the above its not really a bottleneck. They are hand and hand!

EDIT: OP Great build it will be fun to make!
