So like let's be honest, the community server section on cs go is dog water and no one likes it. Which is why I tried to find a way to join servers without using it and being simple to use. You will need an auto exec file for this to work, I recommend just searching a YouTube video if you don't have one.

The command you wanna type in the auto exec is
Alias server _name "connect server_Ip"
for example
Alias jb "connect 74.91.113.83:27015"
Alias awp "connect 104.128.58.205:27015"
Alias ttt "connect 74.91.113.113:27015"

With this in place, once you launch cs go you can open up your console and type jb, awp or ttt, and you will be instantly connected to the server. You can do this with other servers, the one in the example are all ego servers.

It's a small little thing that I find makes my life a lot easier also if you are in a server already you can type it into console, and it will swap you to the new server. Additionally if the server crashes, you can just retype the server name to reconnect

Good tip! This also allows players to join the server when it's "full" and the community server browser doesn't let you.

Personally, I still join eGO servers via the browser (although I have the dev servers as aliases), then use !servers/!hop if I want to change servers.

connect (server ip) has always been the way I’ve joined servers for years it’s so useful. Surprised not a lot of people know about it

You can also add a connect string to your launch parameters in Steam. To do this:

1. Open your Steam library
2. Right click on CSGO -> Properties
3. Under "LAUNCH OPTIONS" add the text "+connect 74.91.113.83:27015"
4. Launch CSGO

This might be easier for people that dont have an autoexec or those that arent as savvy with modifying files.
