How would the Jb or other Cs servers react or be changed/fucked if the valve shifted to source 2? Would all the old maps break or could they be properly ported?

It would all be broken right away. Lots of stuff is handled differently and the file formats are all changed.

We don't know.

For all we know, Valve could be working on backwards compatibility which would allow us to play old maps. But right now it's looking like most of the maps on the JB server will be gone for a while so everything can get ported over.
