most of the scout kills against me tend to start of bat and then when i turn with melee he backpedals and beans with me the handgun. i think that's sort of how he was meant to be.

having a turbo player appear out of nowhere and one shot scattergun me in the back is bad enough, i don't need a one-shot bat too, i die enough

Seconded. A one-shot bat would be nice for me, because I play scout a lot (just poorly right now), but if I ever play something else, I can't wait to be peppered with bats in a multi-scout pack.
