Hey all, so I am wondering what your favorite single player pc game is? Could be something nostalgic or could be something more recent. Would like to find something to play to pass the time in the future when the internet goes out and I'm limited on what I have available to play.

Borderlands 2 (1700 hours) and Fallout 4 (1400 hours) never seem to bore me. I still enjoy playing these two games.

I think we can all agree Half-Life was an amazing single player campaign! as well as Half-Life 2, I think those two games take the top of the cake for me!

Satisfactory, I think there is a multiplayer, but single player is very good

The single player games I've gotten the most time out of has to be
  1. Hearts of Iron 4
  2. Skyrim Remastered
  3. Rimworld
  4. Risk of Rain 2
  5. From The Depths
  6. Civilization 5
  7. Disco Elysium
  8. Stanley Parable
The last two are narrative so I haven't gotten as much time in them.

Dysonsphere. I need to put more time into it. It's a lot of fun and you can get lost in it for 8 hours your first time playing.

  • The Witcher 3
  • Elden Ring
  • Ghost of Tsushima (PS4 + PS5) Possibly on PC soon.
  • Cyberpunk 2077, give it another chance.
  • All Half-Life games
  • Dishonored 1 & 2
  • Deus Ex
  • Portal
  • Subnautica
  • Mafia 2
  • Metro 2033
  • Hitman
  • Red Dead Redemption 2
  • Terraria
  • Outer Wilds
  • TLoZ Breath of The Wild
  • Yakuza Series

tried to refrain from adding less obv ones like skyrim

I tried half life this past week haha and I didn’t even make it half way before I gave up. The jump scares, the inclarity of progression, and the lack of familiarity made it stressful and unfun for me. But. BUT! It is a well made game for its time, I def enjoyed it at times, and I def def def can see others would like it and in fact I would recommend it myself. But my fave single player game is now recently Titanfall 2. That was some of the most fun I’ve had in single player (Up until I played that last week, I didn’t like single player)

I had the most fun with Borderlands 2 (same as Boyle) and I beat it countless times.

Other games I absolutely enjoyed were The Witcher 2 (I played 3 on PS4 so it doesn't count hehe), Dishonored, and BioShock Infinite. Just good games, nothing too stressful with them, and they all have enjoyable writing and storylines.

One game on PC that I would highly recommend is Yakuza 0 (I played that one on Series X), especially if you've never played any Yakuza game yet. It represents the best of the series and chronologically, it's the first (as far as I know). Teared up on a lot of moments in the game, it's just awesome.

Bioshock Infinite is a stellar pick. It holds up beautifully to this day. Stunning and a fantastic story.

Single-player PC games offer a wide range of immersive experiences. If you enjoy action and exploration, I highly recommend titles like 'The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim,' 'The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt,' and 'Assassin's Creed Odyssey.'

For captivating storytelling, you can't go wrong with 'Bioshock Infinite,' 'Mass Effect' trilogy, or 'The Last of Us' (if you have a PlayStation emulator). If you're into atmospheric adventures, give 'Dark Souls' series or 'Horizon Zero Dawn' a try.

If strategy is your cup of tea, games like 'Civilization VI,' 'XCOM 2,' or 'Stellaris' can provide countless hours of engaging gameplay. And if you're a fan of puzzle-solving, 'Portal' and 'The Witness' are excellent choices.
