Should it be a good idea to start a thread wich ppl can say
when they gonna abscent for a periode (i don't now if we already have such a thread) this could be good so ppl wont think u stopped playing the game wich u r eGo member on, or if u stopped playing as eGo member

for example :=(e)=™ SplitCreek[H/H]
is gonna be abscent from the 1st of august till the 11th
of august due the reason of being on holiday


the reason of being abscent should be optional*

well, I know that I won't be playing at all wednesday through friday this week, and probably not much on the weekend, either, but... I don't know if we have one or not.

It's a good idea, but people would probably begin posting even for short absences. It's alright to be gone for a while. If you're going to be gone for an extended period of time say for a month and you are eG+, then it's good to let someone know, but you don't have to necessarily make a post about it. It's also good if you are involved in a group like ARs to let people know in your group.

An absence thread isn't really going to be necessary. There's no penalty if you are not going to be available for any period of time. If it will be an extended period of time, you may send a PM to your House Leader or Division Leader letting them know that you'll be gone in case a roll-call comes up that you may miss.

I say this is a good idea. For anyone that is going to be gone a long time. This would be really helpful to the =(e)=? members that haven't got a huge amount friends in the clan yet.Would also be useful if say the person/s they told that they are going to be gone for a while. End up be gone them selfs when a roll call is done. Thus nobody would have any info on why they didn't respond to the roll call. So all in all nice post Splitcreek (props). Unless of course thier has alredy been a thread started on This. (did not take a lot of time to search for thread simliar to this)

yeah, its an alright idea.. but it could become a problem if people start posting absences for being gone for a couple of days.. or even a week. In my opinion, we don't necessarily NEED to know if your absent for a week. But, you could inform us if you were to be absent for a couple of weeks or so. Since not many people would be gone for 2 weeks at a time very often, there's really not much of a need for an absence thread

Yes good points everyone and it is a good idea, but like shado said, people may start posting for day or week absences. As I said above, if you're going to be gone for an extended period of time like 2-3+ weeks, let your house leader know or let the leader of your group like AR or SF know. If you are eG+ then you can shoot an advisor an email letting them know if you're going to miss a roll call. But roll calls usually last a while to make sure and get everyone. Locking thread.
