8400 SLI vs. 9600?

hey,
would 2 Nvidia 8400 GS's, SLI, be better than one 9600 GT? I'm down to choosing between two computers now, this will probably be the deciding factor for it.

A single 9600 GT will crush two 8400 GSs. Also, the 9600 GT doesn't lose performance in games that aren't fully SLI supported.

ActionGrant is correct on this one - you'll be MUCH happier with the 9600GT. As a general rule, you should always choose the best, single card over two, lower-end cards. As ActionGrant said - this means you'll get the best performance possible...especially since not all games utilize SLI mode.
