I can't help but to say....

I'm beginning to strongly consider what makes a good long term Admin-Manager is a matter of personality and not training. The characteristics in someone to do what we've chosen can be taught but there really seems to be a different group that embraces it and runs miles further than others. No matter the size of an 'eG' promotion class far fewer of them will seek promotion to 'eGO' and dramatically fewer to LE, but contribution and a desire to help seems to be a part of them all.

I'm always struck by the number of former LE who continue to contribute be it in constructive comments based on experience, or working in an area that is different from their original pursuit in eGO. All the while they all seem to share content that helps others continue a greater conversation or builds upon ideas and projects at hand.

I can't help but observer and appreciate the numbers of younger members who choose to become 'eG' admins who give their time to embrace and apply the training. I often see so many of different ages grow and mature as they have to consider and apply real life factors of policy, fairness, and integrity to groups of people with different value systems. I'm most impressed with this group as I can't help but hope they take the positive of what they've experienced in eGO and find good use for it in their lives.

Many things can be taught, much can be experienced but only a special sort will embrace and appreciate both.

Nice words Immaculate. Over the years, I've received messages and actual letters (In the US Postal mail!) from members telling me how eGO has helped them or their child in one way or another. This was never our intent, but I'm not surprise by it when I think about the quality people I come to know through eGO. Thank you for this post.

I joined eGO when I was 14 but didn't start getting really involved until I was 16. In the span of about 6 months in 2013, I was given my G, O, and finally a leadership role. I learned so much during that time that I continued to carry with my through my real life. In fact, some things I learned within eGO helped my land a managerial role at my first job at only 18, and at my second job at 20.

Yes, this is a gaming community. We're here to play games, socialize with likeminded people, and escape the outside world. But you really can learn new attributes here if you have the ambitions, and apply them to various aspects of life.
