gone for a year… what did i miss?

i was laying in bed today when ego popped into my brain. for some odd reason i had an urge to check in on things with the online sphere of my life. truthfully it feels like i’ve lost contact with most of the community and would like to rectify that. i’m working on reinstalling discord and perhaps coming around a bit more when i have some free time from work. how is ego these days?

eGO has been alright for the most part, I came back a couple of months ago as well, not having any contact with anyone within eGO, but it seems like the community is still thriving! it seems like all is well at the moment, great to see you back Arbiter!

eGO definitely misses the old timers. I think I am at the forefront of the new generation of admins and I am looking back at old posts from these older admins that have left us such as cwhit and seeing the professionalism and dedication to eGO that is refreshing. I’m not saying current admins aren’t dedicated or professional but I can see that we had a golden age and have fallen into monotony. We are probably at a stage of innovation, the likes of which has not been seen for quite a while. New events, ideas, programs, and resurrections of old programs (Wink wink Community Outreach is working on something big) capped by the reformatting of the GTA server, the details of which can be found on the Breaking News page. The gist of what I’m saying is that we definitely miss some of the old admins but we aren’t without our unprecedented successes. eGO is going strong.

Glad to see you coming back around! We welcome you back with open arms I wasn't present when you were around, but I know you did some commendable work.

The community is in a pretty neat spot right now, all things considered. Minecraft recently relaunched to a seeming success, and GTA just released a renewed FiveM server that I think has good potential. There are some rather snazzy things coming to the forefront soon as well. I know what this community is capable of and I'm excited to see what's to come!

Super interesting, I wasn’t aware that that many of the last generation of Admins left? I think the last time that I was an admin of any capacity was probably October 2021, how’s the community lost that many of its older people?

Sorry, I may have been misunderstood. A few of them have left but most are still around, just less active. A good handful, though, are going strong, especially since a bunch of old-timers have been showing up due to the holidays and the new FiveM server launch! Admins like DrkChocolate, SturmBruder, Legend, Don, Ric, and oz_ ... just to name a few, are still around!

Of course it is! TF2 going strong, TTT is still about and of course, the players of TTT are at the necks of the JB mains and vice versa. Surf is still about, Overwatch, Rust, Minecraft (Newly started), and GTA (Also newly rebooted), Battlefield and DOD:S are also still around but idk how active they are because nobody talks about them really.
