Source rules?

Can anyone point me to the counter strike source server specific rules? They're not stickied and can't really just find them anywhere obvious to me.

There are currently no publicly listed Source rules (aside from the Code of Conduct, which applies everywhere).

@Immaculate may know better, but I believe the Source rules are currently visible on the loading art screen (or should be). There are plans to finalize a list of Source rules to add to our forums SoonTM.

11b-ret firstblood There is actually one single specific rule listed pertaining to sprays in this post. It simply states decoy sprays are not allowed and to use W/K/B when dealing with it.

There is no rule official or otherwise for one site only until a certain number of players. All other rules are visible on the motd upon joining the server.

blank_dvth I was suggesting that be a rule as to maintain balance while attempting to build numbers earlier in the day when there's sub 10. Usually we can get people to follow that suggestion to maintain a fun and balanced experience for both teams. With 4-5 people on CT, it would spread each player to a single avenue, a-long, a-short, mid to a/b, and B from tunnels. It's basically an automatic win should Ts decide to have 1 other player follow the bomb carrier. It's usually not an issue as most players are reasonable and want the server to thrive, but there are dickheaded people without honor who want to make playing here a bad experience. As such, I feel silly and powerless to regain the server for those who want to play and have fun. When the server is full and T does a full rush it's nearly always a win, and when there's less than 6 people to defend 5 avenues of approach, 2 players going together through any is equivalent.

Lucas15 I'm aware of the general rules and the one rule about the spray. Though, the spray rule is not likely to be enforced from my experience. I don't recall seeing any (more senior than myself) admins enforce that specific rule.

Cascsiany I know. I was just hoping to possibly make this one server officially balanced rather than suggesting it in chat and hoping people would play fairly. Having the server get to 10 players then lose 3 CT every 15 minutes because they can't hope to repel Ts by themselves just keeps the numbers low for hours longer than it would should we balance it.

You can suggest we add the rule under suggestions. I agree it's difficult to defend both sites with only a few people on each team. The spray rule isn't enforced much anymore since your spray isn't visible to anyone but you.

I believe that's simply because sprays don't work at the moment. Rule can't be enforced if the infraction can never be committed in the first place.

Your Dedicated Supporter awards should've been given automatically - just checked, it was awarded to you properly, however you'll need to feature it for it to show up on your profile. Go to your profile, click the number under "Awards", then click "Feature" in the top right and choose which awards you want to show up in your profile (for a max of 6).

As for a National Service award, you'll need to create a Contact Leadership post including some information to show that you are eligible for that award.

I guess I've not noticed any issue with sprays, they generally show for me and mine shows up on my screen. It's been a few months since I've seen the offending spray, but didn't want to step on the few admins toes who had seniority.

I actually dug into my settings and found where the awards were and enabled them right before I saw this thread lol


I'll make a thread over there at suggestions ASAP.
