When the warden dies, do previous warden commands remain for 3 seconds? When Ts are told to afk freeze, they have 3 seconds to stop before they are breaking warden commands. Is this the same for CTs? For example, if your playing deathrun, and the warden dies, how long does the previous warden command of, "Killing 8 with deathrun" stay?

When warden dies, it immediately becomes a freeday. Meaning Ts can do whatever they want (guards may still kill you if you're actively rebelling, i.e. red, inside vents/armoury, etc). If a CT kills during a freeday, it is classified as a freekill, however admins may be lenient if it's obvious that it was just a case of bad timing (warden died as the CT shot). When a new warden comes on and gives a command, there is a 3-second grace period before that command fully applies.

The only time commands stay is when the warden passes. Like blank said it’s only a free day when a warden dies.

However if no ct takes warden after one passes you’ll get a message and a noise prompt letting you know it’s a free day. i believe around 7 seconds

If a new warden is taken and they give a command they T’s have 3 seconds to do the newest command

I know that when the warden passes, the command remains for about 10 seconds. I was on and there was a harsh admin, the warden died and we were playing deathrun, i pushed the button at the same moment and he ct banned me for mfk for 60min. Shouldn't there be a 3 second grace period like the one for the ts, just so that harsher admins dont do stuff like that?

Depending on how many people died, that would likely have been considered a pretty lenient punishment. Something like that would usually have resulted in an immediate 2-week ban. What punishment ends up being issued in the end for freekilling when warden dies is up to admin discretion as they will have the best interpretation of the situation.

Just assume it is a freeday, wait for new commands. if you are a warden just repeat command if you want to keep previous command.

This is hit or miss sometimes. Depends on the scenario. Say someone was red, and he gets killed and pardoned at the same moment. Clemency is given generally speaking. However, when it is on mass and many people die, outcry generally demands something has to be done, like in your scenario here.

So overall, yes and no. It just depends.

yeah there is a lot of stuff in jb that you can read into and get really confused if you try to define the rules to a t. Generally unless you really know your stuff, when you are a ct just give the ts a lot of grace unless they are rebelling that will prevent you from getting swapped or being considered toxic.
