Regarding Hightower's recent uptick in crashes.

So, as by now, you've probably heard we've been experiencing some crashes on our Hightower server.
We have been investigating the issue, and various other issues for some time, but as of late there definitely has been an uptick.

Today, after a series of crashes, a common link was discovered.
We have identified the issue to be related to some Halloween cosmetics, and have disabled tf_forced_holiday, which mitigates the crash, but as a consequence disables any cosmetics that are restricted to holiday modes.

We are continuing to investigate this issue and will update y'all here when a long-term fix is implemented.

PLEASE, IF YOU EXPERIENCE ANY CRASHES/IF THE SERVER HAS ANY ISSUES, REPORT IT TO ANY OF THE TF2 LEADERSHIP ASAP SO THE ISSUE CAN BE INVESTIGATED. DON'T ASSUME WE ALREADY KNOW UNLESS YOU SEE US ACKNOWLEDGE IT SOMEWHERE. ANY REPORTS GREATLY HELP US KEEP THINGS WORKING SMOOTHLY!​

Additionally worth mentioning, You will notice that the carts were enabled for Hightower, this was done as part of the investigation but was determined to be unrelated to the crash in any case. We aren't exactly going to keep them enabled, feel free to PM us your preferences on the matter, we intend to listen to feedback regarding that, might keep it if y'all want it like that, or disable them again.

Please keep this thread however related to the crashes and not the carts.

At this moment, tech did their magic. Server has been unlocked, and hopefully been fixed for us to use.

Thread will remain open unless there are bugs to be reported.
