For those who don't know, a PUG, or pick-up game, is where a group of players get together and play in teams against each other, usually in a 6v6 format (sometimes 7v7 or 9v9 too). Basically, it's competitive TF2, but there are no specific teams or rosters. Players come together and vote on two team captains, one for each team. Those team captains then pick players to be on their team for the PUG. Once the teams have been made, and everyone is ready, the PUG can begin.

Sidenote 1: The two teams should try to balance themselves out so that one team isn't completely dominating the other and vice versa. An admin could do this too, if necessary.
Sidenote 2: PUGs are usually played on maps that are played in actual competitive TF2. This gives the most authentic experience to anyone participating in the PUG.

I'm not entirely sure how this could be implemented by eGO, but I have an idea that might work. Event Coordinators could be the ones to set up a server to host a PUG, and participants could hop into two separate voice channels in the eGO Discord server to communicate with each other when the PUG begins.
Event Coordinators could use serveme.tf, a free and reliable TF2 server hosting website to create a proper server with the correct TF2 competitive plugin and map.

Sidenote 3: I recommend using the North American website instead of the European website because eGO is a strictly NA-centered community. Servers will have better ping as well, of course. Click Here!

In the past, I had a discord server called "katashi PUGS" with around forty people in it at its peak. I would always host and play PUGS with friends using serveme.tf, and we always had a good time. If necessary, I could provide some helpful insight into how to use serveme.tf to make a fantastic, lag-free, competitive TF2 server for the community to enjoy and play.

Enough babbling though. What do you guys think about all this? Should TF2 PUGS be introduced into the eGO community? Vote now!

Sorry, I misunderstood, the TF2 information page said you were the one to contact to get it started
Yes, that is correct, I thought you meant as I wanted to start another TF2 comp team. I could ask LE what they are thinking
