Battlefield server and group to be dropped 3/8

The offices of Kramm and Associates would like to thank the eGo group for all the good times over the years. Lots good times. I will pitch in as well if there is a new home. Until then "Kreme de la Kram, youve been Krammed." Over and out.
It was really nice having you on the server Creme de la Kramm , hope to run into and over you on a BC2 server :-) .

Counter Strike is at least as old as BfBc2. This game is old and the server is empty most of the time, so I get it. Everything comes to an end at sometime, it just sucks that this is the time. I will try my hand at hosting a server in the future and I will keep you in mind Major. I don't know what server host that Ego used for this server, but If I host one, it will probably be NFO, even though I hate those guys for the way they handle complaints. Message me with Ideas for the name of the server and I will definitely make you an admin. I kinda like the Idea of having more control over the server and see if it makes a difference. It ain't over till it's over. I looked it up, and it's like 50 bucks a month. Ping is a big issue for players, so I will investigate the servers in more depth the next few days.

Perhaps find servers in middle states? may help.

thanks for hosting the server. uncertain of circumstances regarding this decision, but would be more than happy to kick in to keep it going for a few months.. like many others, its the only game i play, have tried others, but just didnt do it for me. gonna miss sluggin all you bastads! especially killshot! :)
Drop in to the New one Ton80

It's been an honor and privilege to have served you people. Sorry the show has to end, good luck to the community in the future and hope to see ya'll on the Battlefield soon.
It was a privilege to have you as a Community Manager jtipton , all my best , hope to run into you on a BC2 server , I know that is not your usual hangout but chances are we will meet again .

Darn...this is the end...

Was a good ride, the wheels gotta fall off at some point. Thinking back, I probably should have played more games while the ride was operating.
Thank you to all who kept the entire ride going for as long as it had wheels.
This was the only online multi-player game I played. Tried a lot over the years, they were all crap.

Looks like I need to boot up and re-play the single player version of BF2BC one last time, won't be the same without being attacked by other players. Ugh...

Wow... This is really upsetting. Throughout my time at EGO, there were/are only ever two games I found myself playing: Minecraft and BFBC2. BFBC2 was the first EGO server I found myself on. Believe it or not, I started playing BFBC2 around the age of 11 or 12 (before I ever played Minecraft, lol).

It sucks to see a game stop being supported, especially when it's the one that showed me that EGO was much more than one server on one game. Without EGO's BFBC2 server, I would've never have found this community. It's weird to think that I might not have found such a great place to game. It sucks seeing part of my childhood coming to an end.

Congratulations on a successful run. I have so much respect for the dedication that the Battlefield community has. Thank you to the leadership and admins putting in your all to such a great game.

You are more than welcome to join us on our new server , I actually started 2 of them , 1 Heavy Metal , the other is Port Valdez , only set up the 2nd one to play around with settings without messing up our 1st server , we are kind of new at this so did not want to take a chance . All the old gang is on the Heavy Metal server on regular basis and new players joining also , good times for everyone .

Brutal loss for the org. Great work to all BF management that stuck it out for years. Was always a pleasure working with you guys.

Everyone it was a great time when the servers were hot. Sad to see the community lose the battlefield group and series. Too bad server hosting has lost its edge and companies don't make games like they used too. I had the pleasure to be a leader in the group and have seen the hardships the battlefield group has suffered. On the positive side we had such a fun time running and gunning and blowing up the servers. See you all on the battlefield!

DarkRaven , I noticed you are into BF4 or at least that is what your Avatar looks like to me , can you recommend a good server for a noob like me ? Use to play BF4 a very long time ago as well as BF3 but neither appealed to me like BC2 , but since it is being decommissioned it is time to find a new killing ground or dying in my case .

Inept leadership killed the 24/7 heavy metal server. Y'all had every tool at your disposal to make sure the gameplay meta was sustainably fun and you let every match at some point turn into a snoozefest of campers sitting on A treeline or at C, refusing to push. All the admins were active, any sort of rules against passive play would have kept the server population from eventually dying but you just had to let the idiots camping the rear line in tanks kill the server for everyone

goodbye forever

How is making someone play the way you want them to play fun for everyone? Everyone should be able to play a game they bought the way they want to.

Heavy Metal always hung around the 5th ranked server in the world. It did not die. The community decided to drop it for may reasons, including lack of popularity for such an old game. Our Admins and Leadership did all we could to keep the server going, but we do not tell players how to play their game. That is up to the individuals, as long as they followed server rules. That is what EGO is all about, having fun gaming without being hassled for not playing like someone else thinks you should.

BF4 is getting old too. Most times when i play i find the fullest server but i haven't played much lately due to work and schooling. Ive been playing The Division series of games or racing games as of late.
