I don't think backstabbing everybody and everything make a good spy. Backstabbing well is only one aspect of his game. There are lot more to the spies than backstabbing.

I think the best spies are ones who disrupt other teams or annoy/irritate opponents. Thus it is easier for his team to focus on the task at hands. Spies need to be smart than anything else.

A chain of 2-3 backstab kills is impressive.... if it's on servers like eGO's. For a server like that where everyone is running around oblivious to what's going around them it's not impressive at all.
