Spray improvement

Whenever I play CSS and when i see a spray that isn't PG13 idk ,who did it and to improve it there should be a name who sprayed it to know who sprayed the spray and warn that player to remove it or change it. For example in the bottom there isn't a name and it doesn't show who sprayed it hopefully in the future you guys take this and improve CSS dust 2 server to better.

So about this you can ask an admin if there is any on to check for we admins can check sprays that is against the rules, im not sure if that same command can be used by regular players to check aswell to then make a ban request or something

I know but what I'm saying is everyone could see who sprayed the spray

This is definitely possible as I've used the same plugin we do in the past and had it show names and Steam IDs of players. There was an issue though, where after players disconnected it wouldn't show the info anymore. Idk if that's still the case.

sm_spraytrace has been an admin tool forever... unless it's been removed or is broken. It does exactly what you've said.

No i asked the admins and its not visable for them idk if its a broken or needs to be added

they literally just told me it doesn't work and it used to work but not anymore and btw the admin that said that doesnt work was @ToxicSocksWarrior

I think part of Queen's original post was proposing it to show to everyone who sprayed the decal. This definitely is (or at least used to be) doable with the spray handler plugin we use. It would show a small pop-up bottom-center with the name and Steam ID of whose it is. This allows non-admins to properly report those using inappropriate sprays. Otherwise, you have no way of knowing who it belongs to without finding an admin.

Idk if it works or doesnt but i asked admin yesterday and told me that he cant see spray names but it used to. But anyways why make it only for only admin's and not to everyone to see the spray names.

oh yeah when we were fixing the plugin we intentionally changed it to only admin+, I’ll ask other CS LE and see if they are okay with changing it back to default
