If you're not familiar with this game, I highly recommend checking it out!
The game is free to play on steam and there is no reason you should not give it a try.
It's a super fun and community-friendly game that I'm sure many of Ego members already enjoy or have enjoyed in the past.
Trust me when I say that this game is a perfect fit for our community. Plus, it's similar to CSGO jailbreak, so you know it's going to be a blast!
While this game may have a bit of a learning curve, I truly believe that it's a game for everyone. With some time and practice, anyone can master it and have a good time in the process.
I'm sure that many of SCP SL current players would be a perfect fit for the Ego community.

Here is the steam link: https://store.steampowered.com/app/700330/SCP_Secret_Laboratory/

This indeed is a great game co-worker introduced me to it back in 2021, everything said here is facts and i would love to see this game added to the EGO

🐒

Yeah scp is fire, ive only just started playing it and it is kind of hard to get into and zou die a lot,ut thats part of the fun. Voice proximity adds alot to the game.
Would love to see an eGO support it.

If you're suggesting that eGO add SCP:SL as a supported game (a.k.a. have servers for it), there's a separate process than normal suggestions. You can view a post on this process here.

My only hesitation with supporting this game as I do enjoy this game is the player count

SCP:SL servers are difficult to moderate, especially when it comes to racism/sexism/homophobia reports.

It'd be difficult to combine our play-first culture with the demanding work SCP:SL requires from admins.

Wouldn't be against it, but I'm not entirely for it.

this is a 10/10 idea and I would love it. I find it hard to play SCP because I don’t have other people to play it with. If we got the community to play, it would be awesome

I am very concerned by the rules required for verification of a server in this game, namely that the studio reserves the right to preform its own administrative functions on the server, and this section which would require work on LE's part:

8.11. When your Game Server receives the “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal from a game client (as a server command and/or in Authentication Token) you are:
8.11.1. Not permitted to store any data about the Player that are not necessary for ensuring Server Security.
8.11.2. Not permitted to publish any data about the client (access to the data should be restricted to the Server Staff).
8.11.3. Not permitted to use any data about the client for any other purpose than Server Security (e.g. but not limited to “Statistics tracking”, “Leveling System”).
8.11.4. You are obligated to remove any data not required to maintain Server Security when the client requests his/her data to be removed. Removal requests need to be honored within 72 hours.
8.11.5. The rules described in this paragraph (8.11) related to “Do Not Track” do not apply if you have explicit consent from the Player to store the data.
8.11.5.1. The consent allows you to ignore the “Do Not Track” for the Players that gave the consent.
8.11.5.2. The consent must be fully voluntary, conscious, and unambiguous. It must be clear that the Player agreed to it; consents like “By joining the server you agree” are not valid.
8.11.5.3. The Player giving consent must be aware of all data (not related to Server Security) that will be stored and how it will be processed. They further have to know whether or not the data will be visible to regular Players or any other users.

I see friction with this alone so its a -1 for me - full document here: https://scpslgame.com/Verified_server_rules.pdf

I feel like this would work better as an MS event. Its very popular in the group i play with but having less than 11/12 people makes the game not as fun. MS event for scp would be fire

VSR compliance isn’t what I’m concerned about. The studio people are fine and I don’t care if they do what they want.
We already don’t directly track players on most of our servers (we use third parties for that) so the DNT stuff doesn’t bother me either.

I just don't want our admins to feel like they're running a daycare.

Good idea! We might consider setting up an event server for SCP:SL if the events team shows enough interest 😄

Please read the steps for requesting new supported games here.

Marking as Not Planned.
