Are you tired of navigating the server browser every time you want to join Jailbreak? Well, there's an easy solution to this problem - creating an executable file that will automatically join your favorite server with just a click of a button, from your desktop! Here's how you can do it:
Step 1: Create a new text document Open up your favorite text editor (such as Notepad or Sublime Text) and create a new file.
Step 2: Input the server information In the new file, type in the following information:
Step 3: Save the file Save the file as a batch file with the extension ".bat". For example, you could save it as "imaddictedtojailbreak.bat".
Step 4: Create a shortcut Right-click on the batch file and select "Create shortcut". Move the shortcut to your desktop or any other convenient location.
Step 5: Double-click on the shortcut to run the batch file. This will automatically launch Steam and join the Counterstrike server you specified.
However, this will not connect you if the server is full, the game will just launch. No worries, there is a workaround for that! If you didn't already know the jailbreak server has a "soft" player cap, joining through console will allow you to connect.
First, right-click on the Counterstrike game on your Steam library, select properties, browse local game files, select the csgo folder, and navigate to the CFG folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo\cfg). Then in that folder, right-click on anything that's not a file add a new text document. In the text document, type in the following
and save the file as "a".
Next time you load up Counterstrike, you can quickly connect to your favorite jailbreak server by typing "exec a" in the console. This will automatically execute the server details you saved in the "a" text document, allowing you to join your favorite jailbreak server without any hassle. Its also an easy way to rage quit whatever other server your playing and hop straight into JB!
