Friends, Romans, Countrymen. Lend me your ear. Alas, my time has come.
Most of you know me, but for those that don't and those who may look back in the future and wonder "Who is this guy?" I'll give a bit of a history.
I found and joined eGO in February of 2022. I quickly advanced to eGO rank in just over 4 months because of my dedication and activity. In March of 2023 I was promoted to Advisor, the rank between eGO and Manager. I was also awarded with the TF2 Member of The Year award for 2022 and a Diamond Commendation for my help editing the forums. I, as my signature should convey, was very active in Media, Member Services, TF2, and Community Outreach Team, where I helped recreate the foundation of the MINT program. For each of these teams, I did my best, tried to make my mark so I'd have a legacy to leave, and show others that I love them and eGO.
Unfortunately, life comes in waves and since my 1 year anniversary, I've been feeling a bit out of place and less enthusiastic about eGO. In most cases of fun entertainment that I choose to engage in, I don't participate in them for more than 6 months so the fact that I stayed with eGO for so long is a testament to the engagement and wonderfulness of the community. As a result of this feeling out of place, I have decided to leave eGO. I will still keep my admin tags and I may play the 2Fort server sometimes but I don't plan on being super active, especially for the next 3 months.
I may eventually return, but in case I do not... I have some things to leave with you:

: Hombre, thank you. I appreciate everything that you've said to me. Your encouragement and wisdom, sometimes tough love, were some of the things that helped me grow the most in this community. You taught me humility, staying in my lane, and exploring my talents. Thank you so much for allowing me to work with you on the MINT project and helping me in MS with @Architect of Life , you both are amazing men that I am grateful to have known. Plus, your encouragement in regards to our commonality was a great and inspirational light shining in the digital darkness.
@Immaculate : Bossman, your encouragement is unmatched, you always know exactly what to say to encourage others and make them feel valued and that is a trait that I want to cultivate in myself. I look up to you more than you realise and envy your ability to lead others so easily. Even your correction is taken easily and inspires your followers to do better. Thank you for being an amazing example to others.

: Boss, your words in that talk we had a few months ago mean more to me than you likely think. I appreciate your honesty and candor and how you wanted to see me be the best admin I could be and how you showed me some of the steps on that path. You're a cool dude and I appreciate how you are always looking to improve eGO and keep it a safe place.
@4g0tt3nSou1 : My friend, as one of the people in eGO that I grew closest to, I want to make especially sure that you understand I think you're awesome. Your little hints at promotions and surprises were pretty obvious (Maybe by intent) and I found them fun. Thanks so much for voting in confidence for me. I love you dude and love hanging out with you. Your willingness to do non-eGO things with me speaks volumes. Since quality time is my love language, it showed that you really enjoyed my presence.

: Mom, thank you so much for your caring words and good example of how we should behave in-game. Your peaceful and pleasant interactions with everyone that crossed your path showed how much you cared about everyone and how kind it really is possible to be in a game as crass as TF2. I love you.
@Honorstar : Honour, thanks bunches for being an inviting friend who I can share my pain and consternation and also my laughs and fun with. Thanks so much for being kind and accepting of everyone, it helped me see others in the same way.
@Mr_Patience : Patience, you were my first example of what an admin in an online community should be. Fun, peaceful, yet strong and willing to uphold the rules respectfully. Thanks for being a loyal friend, despite the twists and turns of your game fixations lol. I appreciate you.
@Mini_Marauder: Buddy with no forum account, thanks for being a friend who simply brought me into your friend group and made me feel wanted. Relaxing with you is always truly relaxing and worry-free, so thank you so much for creating that environment. Congrats on being called a Mini-Boss by Robin Walker.
@Retr0Destr0yer : My son, I love you. Thank you for constantly making us laugh and giving me free content for my YouTube videos. I will always consider you my son as long as you consider me your dad. Mwah. Don't be a stranger.

: Thank you for being a good model for what an admin should be. I enjoy going back and reading the ban contests and your responses and interactions on the Discord show really the type of admin I'd like to be in many respects. Keep doing what you're doing.

: Thank you so much for not only creating such an amazing and welcoming community but also for responding and having fun interactions. It's so easy for you to have left and been a distant creator... but you still show up sometimes and it's so very fun to talk with you. Thanks so much, sir.
There are so many others that I love and appreciate in this community, but these are the few that had a great impact upon my actual life that I wanted to thank specifically.
Finally, there are a few things I wanted to share that I learned here, in no particular order:
1. Those in charge usually don't know about a problem unless someone tells them.
2. Yes, the rules are very important, but sometimes the most important thing is the essence of the rule. If someone, for example, is playing music, but everyone is actually enjoying it, something doesn't necessarily need to be done.
3. Even if you know something, don't force yourself into conversations just to share that. Wait for the opportune moment and a better solution may even arise in the meantime.
4. Credit isn't always given at every mention of something that you did. Learn to be okay with that.
5. Points are nothing. Care about the people.
6. Don't ask for a promotion. If you think you are ready, ask instead what you think could be done to better prepare yourself for a promotion. Always assume you have something to learn.
7. Don't try to admin if you're in a bad mood. You'll either miss things, make mistakes, or be too harsh.
Here are some things I knew before but either hadn't put to words or that were impacted greater in eGO:
1. Always collect evidence for any discipline or admin action, even if it isn't required and keep it at least until the end of the day. You never know when you'll need to defend your action because someone complained.
2. Deadlines are super important, but don't do half-baked work if you know you could do a lot better with just a bit more time
3. Ask questions as much as you can, don't just do or change things.
4. Communicate with your peers. No sense in you both warning the same person.
5. If you have a problem with a peer, don't go to your superiors to complain or gossip, go to affect change and bring evidence.
7. Because you're representing an organisation, represent them well. Act like the behaviour you want to see.
8. If there's a rule you disagree with, it is still your job to uphold it in the same way and with the same behaviour you would uphold one you agree with. Don't say the rule is dumb.
9. You can't technically tell your peers what to do. Give recommendations, and if something actually becomes an issue, advance it up the chain of command.
TL;DR: "eGO is cool but I gotta go, might be back but maybe not. Cool people, cool ideas, love you bye."
