We here at eGO want to recognize every single one of the people who are willing to put their lives on the line for their country. Yes, We are a United States-based clan, and it is no coincidence that this is coming out on the celebration of our independence day. In order to recognize those who have made the commitment to defend what they believe in with their lives, we are awarding a new ribbon to ANYONE who has served in the armed forces, for any country. We are a world-wide organization and we want everyone who stands up for their country to be recognized. From this point forward, ANYONE with military service, regardless of country, will be given this award. Thank you for giving the ultimate sacrifice for what you believe in. Your efforts are not overlooked. The fact that you can play here emphasizes that you have freedom and those of you who've put your lives on the line for that freedom is what we are recognizing.

Thank you all for your service and thank you all for playing with eGO. Our hats are off to you! Your ribbon will be awarded soon.

i served as a queens soldier in 1992, in Denmark as a medic, and as a UN-solly, in exyoguslavia from feb. -93 till feb -94, as a medic the first half year, and reeducated as a machinegunner, in the 2. half year, rank corporal.
It was both, at the serb/croatian boarder in kroatia(Krajina), and at the bosnian/serbian boarder, at Bihac.
this time was the best in my life EVER....and i will never forget my comrades from there, and luckyli, im still in contact with some off them.
may peace hit ya all ...smack in the face :-).
Real war is dangerous :eek:
 
We're still working on the awards system, but until then this thread is going to have to do. We are also asking about military service when people sign up. Thanks all for keeping active and most of all, thanks to all the vets out there. :)

4 Years as a military musician - yes I know it's not as cool as being a submariner or a Presidental Helicoptor crewman, but its still the Army. Big Hooah! to all my fellow GI's here, it's nice to see so many!
 
active duty army with the 82nd airborne out of fort bragg, NC. Headin on another deployment here in january :D
 
2 years as an airborne Army ranger before landing wrong on a jump, was a good time though and enjoying serving my country the best I could. Thanks to all of you that also stand up for your country.

Well, to add mine to the list,

Supply sergeant 1st class Dutch army 1985. This was still during the Iron curtain era when the soviets where the so believed threat. Had to spend time for this along the former East German border. A lot has changed since then.
 
Active Duty US Army currently stationed down here in UCLA, Ugly Corner of Lower Alabama that is Fort Rucker. Going through the UH-60 Blackhawk course at the moment. On hold currently waiting for my first child to be born. Affording me quite a bit more game time! 7 Years in, 13 more to go...
