If its just for MineCraft almost any Intel i3 will work.
Minecrafts system requirements:
- CPU: Intel Core i3 3210 | AMD A8 7600 APU or equivalent.
- RAM: 4 GB RAM.
- HDD: At least 1GB for game core, maps and other files.
- GPU: Intel HD Graphics 4000 or AMD Radeon R5 series | NVIDIA GeForce 400 Series or AMD Radeon HD 7000 series.
- OS: 64-bit Windows 7 or later.
I mean, Im on a laptop from 2015. I use it for work and gaming.
Its not exactly a Developers Workstation. However, it works well.
Its not even supposed to have 16gb ram, nor an SSD. Let alone Win 10 Pro for Workstations. But it does.
I also overclocked it considerably. Had to MOD the Firmware / Bios myself but...it works. It runs CSS like a champ. And handles the two other OS I have for it fine ( Kali Linux & Parrot OS [also linux based] ).
This one is an HP 17e Pavillion, w/ AMD a8 " Elite quad core " and " burst pipeline architecture ".
Was only $300. used on ebay in 2021.
If buying brand new...
A-L-W-A-Y-S check/ask for " Scratch & Dent " or " Floor Model " discounted equipment.
You will get REAL good deals for buying a floor model ( if they have one for sale ), or a scratch & dent sale.'
Just make sure there arent any scratches on the screen, and it is functional.
Caught a brand new laptop in 2013 like that.
Paid $500. for a $1000. laptop @ BestBuy.
