Web Allow Non-DS to display their Forum Awards

We used to allow all forums users display the awards they earned. This was then changed to where you have to be a DS to be able to edit and display your awards.

Can we please revert it to allow non-DS to show their awards? I can understand the need to expand our DS perks but preventing forums users and members of the community from displaying the awards they earned seems like an over reach.

We want our members to feel accomplished when receiving awards they've earned and we should allow them to proudly display them on the forums. They should not have to pay to represent their achievements.

I think it’s a good perk for just Dedicated Supporters. It’s a nice bonus if that’s something you want to do, and in my opinion, the point of why it is a perk… because if you really want to change your awards, you’ll support EGO and become a dedicated supporter.

I don't really care about awards, although it's a bummer having to pay for other cosmetics on forums.

I was under the impression non-DS couldn’t even display their awards, didnt know it auto-displayed, but nonetheless, I still think it would be a good idea to revert and allow non-DS the power to choose what awards they want to display.

I feel like in the long run, if we give non-DS the chance to pick what awards to display, it may potentially provide them a larger sense of identity and individualism within the community which can hopefully lead them to donate in the future.

DS perks are important and without DS the lights will not be on for this community. We should seek other ways in incentivizing this, in my opinion.

Just a thought though!

We are currently at a point where DS incentives are at an all-time-low, if this suggestion was introduced back last summer - it probably would've been more well-recepted. But for now I do not see this getting implemented until we are back to full game server strength in terms of DS incentivization

this is because accounts migrated from vbulletin did not have the setting set. these are handled on a case by case basis in contact LE (or when i get around to fixing the root problem)

How many accounts (or active accounts) would you say this is affecting? Did this happen during the pG merge?

Makes me wonder how many active accounts cant display their awards and just thought they had to pay in order to show off their earned awards.
