Couldn't find if this was suggested anytime after 2020.


Ban evaders are rampant and any extra barrier to prevent them should be taken at this point. We have issues of ban evaders being on brand new steam accounts and constantly being issues on the server. This has been denied multiple times, but I do not think the benefits of discoverability outweigh the headaches caused on the servers anymore.

I know it wont stop the issue, but it's one extra step that will deter at least some of them

I think the best way to discourage evaders is to encourage playing on a single account.

We've implemented the Guard Priority queue as one example of this. I'd be interested to hear other suggestions of similar systems we could put in place to discourage using brand new/non-prime accounts.
