CS Jailbreak Should we revert back to old Gun Toss CT health?

What should happen to the CT when they are TPed for Gun Toss LR

Hey everyone! Recently a change was added where CTs are given 500 HP until both players throw their guns in a Gun Toss LR. I've heard mixed opinions on this, but would like to hear everyone's thoughts on this change and if you think it should change or remain like this. LR TPing was only added about 2 years ago, and I believe the initial implementation was giving the CTs God mode for 2-3 seconds when they get TPed so they couldn't get insta killed by the T. It should be up to the CTs to follow the T's in LR to make sure they don't cheese their fellow CTs, but it also shouldn't be to easy for T's to cheese every CT they LR.

Isn't the point of LR to even the playing field so the CTs don't win every round? The rounds are already pitted against the Ts, and we are worried about improving LR for CTs; it's kind of crazy if you ask me. But I have no race in this horse since I retired my undefeated gun toss career years ago.

what are you smoking, Ts win like 70% of rounds

YES because they should. . Like there are 3x the amount of ts that there are cts. They should be winning 3x the amount of the time so an equal amount of people are happy with winning. Please actually respond i am so curious as to how you think a 70% win rate makes this change justified

May I suggest a different system for gun toss.

The T's deagle already spawns in with 2 shots, we already have the distance thing in chat, so put 1 and 1 together.

Make it so that the T gets to decide the beginning and the end with the 2 shots respectively (T's already to this). The first shot location is the beginning and the 2nd shot is where it should end (ideally somewhere further than physically possible) and the one closest to that end location wins and the other dies.

I know it might be coding hell for MS and others (shoutout) but I think this is the best system to keep it 100% fair.

TL;DR: T's denote place where deagle should be thrown, closest wins, loser dies automatically, both participants are immune during the whole process

p.s. I realize that the first shot is technically pointless at least for measuring distance closest to the end point but it like I said, T's already use the first shot to denote where the CT should be throwing it from.

Jailbreak shouldn't be just a washed out group of minigames. T's should be able to get away with things like cheating LR without the server coming down on them and through an act of god slaying the cheater. If other Ct's are not there to see it then they shouldn't be punished since I believe the Ct's are meant to keep order in the jail not the server.

I think a key point to jailbreak is the Ct's have the power to enforce the rules and aside from griefing T's are lawless from the server/admins.

Ts have every possibility before LR to cheese or cheat. You aren’t required to LR, nor are you required to select gun toss.

If you want to cheese then fine, but I don’t think the server should be giving them a fully loaded deagle and teleporting the CTs to them for them to die.

Either don’t LR and find a new way to rebel, do /rebel, or pick a different LR.

Or get good at gun toss.

Some obligatory background statistics, since near the beginning of CS2...

Guards have won 34% of all LRs (6529 vs 12340), and 21% of rounds (8462 vs 31538).

no offense to cts but usually they are less skilled than T's. this honestly is better than i thought it would be

I think a brief period of immunity (3 seconds?) for both parties upon TP just so no one accidentally dies or immediately gets totally cheesed without the chance to respond.

other wise cheese just needs to be handled by CTs on the server. I think this major change to a core mechanic of the server is just kind of not needed.

I appreciate the response and I have disagreements throughout. I think the easiest way to address this is line by line:

1: "Ts have every possibility before LR to cheese or cheat. You aren’t required to LR, nor are you required to select gun toss." This is true you are not required to do anything as a T when it comes to server rules. However, they are still rebelling if they don't LR by a reasonable time specified by the warden so they are required to LR. When it comes to choosing gun toss or not, this is the complaint as me and others seem to agree we want to play gun toss just without the hand holding server plugins. If we just didn't like gun toss we wouldn't care about the change at all.

2:"If you want to cheese then fine, but I don’t think the server should be giving them a fully loaded deagle and teleporting the CTs to them for them to die." You do not think it's fine to cheese as you gave the T a 2 bullet gun with a 500hp 500 armor CT with full ammo. This means the T even under the best circumstances can not reasonably cheat the LR since each shot point blank to the head does ~205 damage. The teleport feature I think is more QOL and if they had immunity for the first 3 seconds that could make sense. With this in mind though, a CT can always just ask for another CT to watch to make sure the T doesn't cheat.

3:"Either don’t LR and find a new way to rebel, do /rebel, or pick a different LR." You can't just pick another LR, it's the principal, because if changes like this stand I would assume more LRs will be sanitized until there is nothing left. Another great thing about gun toss specifically is the ability to do other custom LRs within it like cancer jumps or map games without any restrictions. With this change it makes it harder/more annoying.

4:"Or get good at gun toss." This goes both ways. In jailbreak the CTs need to follow the rules while the T's do not. There are plenty of times I have outplayed a T trying to cheese based on how I threw the gun or smarter positioning after landing from throwing the gun. You may have the feeling this is unfair but then I would say a phrase with similar sentiment, "Get good".

5:"Guards have won 34% of all LRs (6529 vs 12340), and 21% of rounds (8462 vs 31538)." Win rate != fun/balance. For example, If there was a game where the attackers won 100% of the rounds because they were given a button to kill the other team at the start of each round for free, we wouldn't just give the other team a button to make the win rate 50/50. This just means adding anti-fun mechanics like this are not the solution towards a better experience for the player base. A couple other quick things about this comment, as stated by gliptal gliptal the CTs make up a smaller portion of the total players so it would make sense the CTs would loose. When looking at time alive CTs get to play the game much more than T's since each T gets a small chance to rebel/LR each round vs the CTs who get a free ride to LR without having to play a single minigame.

TLDR; Adding guard rails isn't how jailbreak should be balanced

What part of my reply isnt clear? I'm confused.
Your friend seems to think that CTs win almost every round, i corrected him.

I think the system is completly fine as it is now.
The reason I voted for CTs getting 500hp until they throw their gun is because I think its the best of both worlds. Prevents Ts from just TPing the cts to instantly kill them + accidental deaths.
When I cheese a gun toss I throw my gun first and when the CT jumps to throw his I wait for him at the bottom and knife him, safest way for me personally beacuse high ping, moving enemy and guns dont go well toghether + im washed.
So the 500 HP before cts throw their deag doesnt change a thing for me.
Same goes for invincibility.

Dont think we need to discourage cheesing, its just rebelling at the end of the day.
