!RTV is in a weird state at the moment, in my opinion. It seems like it's being used way too much. My suggestion is to restructure the way it works. Now I'm not meaning changing it completely but only changing / add a few things to it, to revamp it.

  1. Add a Timer / Increase time in-between !RTV
Add a timer after a map has been RTV'd. This timer would prevent people from automatically RTV-ing the new map. (Here recently I've seen it happen a few times where the map gets RTV'd then the next map gets RTV'd as well.)
  2. Increase the timer on previous maps played.
Increase the timer on previously played maps so it isn't on a constantly loop of the same 5-6 maps.
  3. Give credits for !nominate
When a player uses !nominate and that map is selected give the player(s) who nominated the map a small bonus of credits. This could possibly persuade people to use !nominate more.
  4. Add Credit Bonuses to non-popular maps
Add a % to credits gained while playing on maps that aren't played a lot. I.e Umbrella (I haven't seen that map get played since JB came back)

  5. Map Voting
At the end of a map, Maybe add the top 3 nominated maps, 1 or 2 maps that haven't been played in X amount of time and add back the continue on current map / Extend current map
See 5 changes / additions to !RTV to help revamp it a little. I don't know if it's possible to make these changes via the coding or what not, but I would assume that it would be.

When it is low pop and the whole server agrees to play a recent map, we sometimes rtv through maps quick. Maybe add a player minimum for this to be enforced so the low pop times are fun still.

1. I agree the current system needs to be changed. I don't think there should be a global timer, but rather the timer per map should be extended so it cant be rtv'd instantly. I believe there was like a 5 minutes delay when the map changed and i think something like that would help with maps getting instantly rtv'd.

2. the currently cooldown was raised from 3->5, we can continue to raise this slowly as more maps get added, but i think 5 is a good cooldown for now.

3. i dont hate this idea, but i don think it should be too many credits

4. i dont really like the idea of this, if maps arent played alot, its probably for a good reason. i wouldn't really want to encourage maps that people dont like/kill server pop.

5. eh dont like this either for the reason above, let people nominate the maps they like, if you wanna nominate a "less-played map" then nominate it before other people do

I think this is a good idea, I'm lowkey tired of being able to RTV the map as soon as we get it on it, but this has been changed already, the minimum amount of rounds played to RTV a map is three but this does suck on the occasion it's someone griefing and nominating/voting for a map they know nobody plays.

I believe the timer should be increased so we aren't playing the same five maps on repeat like SpyvsSpy, Quake, CLOUDS ESPECIALLY, and VIP. But I also do think we need more popular maps in the map pool that people actually want to vote for.

Yea, I think this could be a cool implication, though it shouldn't give very many credits as people will abuse it by using methods such as the console to nominate maps (I think this was removed anyway but people will ALWAYS find a way to abuse the system).

This could be cool, though I don't know if people will want to play maps just for credits that can only be used within gangs.

Yeah, I agree, RTV needs to be changed a bit. Right now, we can vote for the same map we are on, and it crashes the server doing so, and some people specifically vote for the same map just to get this result, I feel like we should fix the fact it does this and should revamp it to where it can't be abused and can be used when needed like on low population. But I don't think we should add maps that haven't been played as they probably aren't played for a reason, which would kill the server population. I do believe we should bring back the "Extend current map" in a way that can't be abused as to where we're stuck on one map for HOURS because of trolls.
