two suggestions for dod:s servers

My first suggestion is that we take off or find another way to show the "win a velocity computer blah blah" thing because when it pops up it is in the way and my numbers keys dont work when trying to switch weapons.

Secondly I would like to say that the pistol mod for all the classes is pretty cool, but pressing 2 now switches to pistol instead of machinepistol/carbine for rocket classes. I was wondering if there is any way to redo the mod so that pistol is selected when pressing another number such a four. Also, it would be nice if we could scroll "up" to select the machinepistol/carbine, seeing as it can only be selected if scrolling "down" with mouse wheel.

Do people generally agree with these suggestions? good idea? bad idea?

I personally don't like the pistol idea at all, it is just conforming to all the other servers that have pistols as secondaries....When I go to switch to a weapon now I accidentlly switch to my pistol, and yes that pop up thing should maybe take place in the very top left corner and/or break it down into 2 lines.....

I definitely agree w/ the advertisement issue... it needs to be like the other scrolling adds and not that menu style (a-la CSS). It totally prevents you from switching to secondary or ANY weapon w/ the # keys unless you wait for it to leave or hit zero.

The pistol mod I like and dislike, sure who doesnt like being a rifleman w/ a backup weapon but thats not what dod is about. And for the rocketeers out there it definitely is messing them up by giving them a pistol which occupies the secondary weapon slot instead of the c96/carbine which cant be switched to unless goes two clicks on the scroll wheel.

And just another thought, could the pistol mod be the reason why the No Freeze Kill Cam setting isnt allowing achievements? Cause I've been on other servers w/ no Freeze Cam and still gained achievements w/out any issues.

The advertisement is becoming a more and more serious issue. It's a personal annoyance and has gotten me killed on more than one occasion by not being able to switch to a secondary weapon.

Now pubs are starting to complain about it, and rightly so. We need to get this resolved please.

duality, I suggest that you pm slayr357 about the no freeze cam on other servers because it would be awesome to get that thing back off our servers. I still feel the majority of the people dislike the freeze cam. yeah by looking at how other servers got the freezecam off without affecting achievements we might be able to do the same.

I dont really like the pistol mod cause it has been causeing some problems and i like the game unaltered, so you know that some classes wont have backup guns.
