Good Evening eGO Members and Visitors,

I wanted to take a moment to make this post for both newcomers to our community and for those who have been around for a while but haven't yet taken the opportunity to become an "e" member of eGO.

Getting Your e Tag

Becoming an official member of eGO allows you to proudly wear the "=(e)=" tag, both in our servers and beyond. If you're ready to take that step, just head to the top of the forums and click on the "Join" tab. From there, you'll fill out an application and wait for our Member Service Team to get in touch with you about the next steps. (One important note before applying: be sure to sign up for Maul.)

What’s the benefit of having an "e" tag?
Apart from representing your membership in the community, it also opens up the possibility of advancing to a staff position. At eGO, we don’t have a formal "staff application," and we don’t hand out staff roles easily. (Just a heads up—there's no set timeline for becoming staff after becoming an "e" member.) Every staff member you see today started exactly where you are. They joined the community, built relationships, became an "e" member, and demonstrated maturity, respect, and a clear understanding of the server and community rules. More importantly, they set an example for others and helped the community when needed.

Now, let’s dive into the different staff tags you might see around our servers and community.

What Do "eG" and "eGO" Stand For?:

eG: eG's are our entry-level staff members, often referred to as "Trial Staff." They’re in a probationary phase where their performance is being evaluated to see if they’re ready to move up to a full staff position. As an eG, you have more responsibilities than a regular "e" member. You'll help moderate the servers, ensure players are following the rules, and assist others by offering guidance on what's right and wrong within the community. To become an eG, you’ll need to prove that you’re mature, respectful, active and well-regarded in the community. It’s important to note that no one is automatically entitled to this role, and it can be revoked if necessary.

eGO: eGOs are full-time staff members who have consistently demonstrated their commitment to the community and staff policies. They’ve shown the dedication needed to effectively moderate and help manage our servers. eGOs are passionate about leadership and are always willing to lend a hand to any member of the community. To obtain this role you must be active and showcasing that you are fit to be a staff member.

Finally, On a Personal Note:
I’ve been a proud member of Edge Gamers for 13 years, and honestly, earning my "e" status was one of the most rewarding decisions I’ve ever made. This community has become like a second family to me. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of watching people join, grow, and mature into incredible young adults, and I’ve seen our more experienced members take the time to mentor others, always going the extra mile to help and engage with everyone on a deeper level.

Becoming an "e" member isn’t just a title—it’s the first step toward making a real difference in the community. It also opens up opportunities to connect with people you may not have met yet, whether they’re from Jailbreak, FiveM, or other parts of eGO. This community is so much more than just the games we play—it’s about the connections we build and the impact we have on each other’s lives.

As Always if you have any questions and or concerns please feel free to Reach out to the Member Services team and or other great staff members who are willing to help you out! You may also reach out to me and I will help you to the best of my ability.

Please keep the discussion respectful and constructive per the Public Code of Conduct.

If you believe a post violates the community guidelines, please use the report feature so the moderation team can review it.

Thank you.

So if every staff member starts out as an “e” member, what kinds of things do people usually do to stand out and eventually get noticed for a staff position?
Being active ingame, forums, discord... coming out to events, friendly, follow the rules but have fun. We're here to enjoy ourselves and becoming an admin is a perk to helping out around the community, not the goal.
