Yahallo. Nep here.

lowkey i've been thinking about RTD alot recently, and honestly a lot of the rewards don't feel very "rewarding". Some of the effects are just minor credit changes like +1 credit or -10 credits, which aren't particularly exciting when you roll. RTD should feel like you're taking a gamble for something fun, not getting the equivalent of finding a penny on the floor for something most people don't even use (gang credits are even more irrelevant than the !chicken command somehow).

On top of that, some rolls can completely cripple your ability to play. Things like "cannot use snipers" during a no-scope LR or "cannot use rifles" as a CT can make certain days near impossible to function. There are maps where a CT ends up trying to stop multiple rebelling Ts with nothing but a Glock because their primary weapon class has been disabled (why does cannot use rifles include snipers, shotguns, and smgs????). At that point it stops being a fun disadvantage and starts becoming more of a punishment, and honestly if i didnt just have autortd on cuz im lazy id have it off probably.

The rare times RTD gives something genuinely interesting, it's usually well received. Effects like invisibility are memorable because they actually change gameplay in a fun way. I'd love to see more rewards along those lines.

Maybe some older cosmetic/fun effects could make a return too. Things like rainbow chat from the CS:GO days were simple, but they felt special and gave people a reason to keep rolling.

I think RTD should focus more on fun and unique effects, the easiest ones to implement are just one round cosmetic rewards that stand out, but also fewer tiny credit rewards that don't really excite anyone.

Anyways, thanks for coming to my TED talk.

rtd isn't supposed to feel exciting when always rolling it. you aren't guaranteed anything. so what you could get is an awp or as low as 1 credit. but also has its negatives when rolling such as turning red and staying red the whole round.

Gangs from my understanding are most likely going to be reworked because before we used to have really fun stuff like if you are the warden you can change the color of ur line. the icon when you kill someone could also be changed. and many more like being able to have a custom color on special days. but all those broke in the gang menu and haven't been able to be put back into gangs.

(accidentally submitted this before i was finished writing more)

Thats the whole point of rtd is the fact that you can get something really good or something really bad like cannot use rifiles/ or snipers. it's in the the RTD (roll the dice). If you always won something good that wouldn't really be a gamble no?
(side note also T's can also roll no rifles/snipers etc.. and it can affect there rebelling round)

Cannot use rifles more imply's you cannot use your primary. I know it is worded incorrect but thats basically what it means.

Thats the whole point of rtd you get punished and or rewarded for rolling it (which is always optional to roll)
its not supposed to be a "fun" disadvantage it quite literally is just gambling and you lost being able to use your weapon "now you pay the price".

(Btw if you wanna check the % of each rtd roll you can use /rtdstats and it will show you all stats on rolls)
