World Cup 2026

Hey guys, I was just curious how many of you are interested in soccer/futbol, and how many of you will be watching the World Cup! Yesterday, there were a couple of games (Mexico and South Africa started the World cup off)

As of today, right now, USA and Paraguay are playing, 6PM MST for me, USA 1 and Paraguay 0, I missed the goal but from what I overheard on the TV, I think Paraguay scored on themselves, lol.

Me, being from the Southwestern part of the United States, and of Hispanic/Latino descent, I am definitely going for our hosting teams (USA, Mexico, Canada)
but push comes to shove.......

U! S! A!

How many of us Americans are interested? How many of you are of Hispanic/Latino descent? Where are my European lads and how are we feeling about this world cup?
I will say........the theme song for this World Cup was..........pretty.......bad.

Loving it! But so busy with RL rn I'm just watching highlights.... USA 4-1!! NICE!! I hope the USA does well, but I foresee an España v. Mexico final. I have decided I am buying a jersey for whichever team wins! I have USA's away jersey and a Mexican Pier27 Jersey.

PS - I am also loving seeing the Europeans discovering American Culture!

Especially Buc-ee's and Waffle House!!!!​

Spain vs Mexico would be an AWESOME finals!

Although going by today’s results, Spain was shockingly ineffective, maybe because a couple of key players were benched, and to be fair Cape Verde had excellent defense, the goalie wow.

Even before going into the World Cup, I had fears of Mexico not performing great; usually are eliminated round of 16. Conversely, I have major hopes for the United States! We had such a strong opening, but we’ll see what happens!

Also was shocked by Japan’s insistence against Netherlands. Feels like we are seeing many upsets;
I was fully expecting USA - PARAGUAY to be
0-1 or 1-2.
I predict USA - GERMANY final, but who knows. We haven’t yet seen Argentina play, or Portugal!

Spain and Portugal have been very underwhelming so far, it's clear that Ronaldo is truly holding Portugal back, and it's very sad to see given their midfield, but Argentina did lose their first match during the WC22, so anything can change in the next two rounds.

Scotland looses to Brazil..... not a shocker but sad to see Saint Andrew go down....

That game with Uruguay and Spain was probably the worst game of this World Cup yet. Absolutely disappointed with how desperate Uruguay got; very dirty players. They honestly need to go home and re-think…….everything

Not impressed with Cannobio’s attitude with the refs, or Uruguayan fans getting upset with Mexican fans supporting Spain

Yesterday was some of the best we've seen yet! WOW back-to-back nailbiting games. My brother and I were on the edge of our seats all game, with both GERMANY-PARAGUAY and also NETHERLANDS-MOROCCO.

AWESOME futbol! Both games wennt to penalties!!! the ball that slid below Netherland's goalie; wow dude I couldn't believe the luck, lmao.
