Thank You Adam: Adam Resigns From Executive
There are very few people whose story in EdgeGamers stretches across so many different eras of this community. Adam is one of them. He joined in 2008 after spending time on the 24/7 Avalanche server, thanks in part to Davethegreat convincing him to give the community a chance. In an older thread, Adam once reflected that after seeing people he knew around eGO, and after moving on from other gaming communities, he decided to see what EdgeGamers was about. His own words summed it up best: “Glad I did.”
Looking back now, it is safe to say EdgeGamers is glad he did too. Over the years, Adam became known by many names: Adam, Mister Adam, and, in true Adam fashion, the self-proclaimed Chief Delegation Officer. But regardless of the title, the role, or the joke attached to it, the reputation remained the same. Whether it was working through personal issues between members, helping guide leadership, or finding solutions that moved the community forward, Adam became one of those steady voices people learned to trust.
Adam has spent almost two decades making a impact across EdgeGamers. He was known as one of the go to leadership members for problem solving. Whether that meant helping resolve issues between members or finding solutions that made the community stronger.
After taking a break from leadership, he returned as a Community Manager and took on the challenge of helping revive a struggling Team Fortress 2 division. Under his guidance, the division saw growth in both server rankings and overall activity, a reflection of the time, effort, and care he continued to put into the community. Team Fortress 2 has always held a special place in EdgeGamers history, and Adam played a major role in keeping that legacy alive.
Eventually, that same dedication carried him to the Executive Team, where his responsibilities expanded far beyond a single division or project. As Executive, Adam helped guide the direction of EdgeGamers, support Community Management, shape policy, and make decisions that affected the future of the entire community.
Adam, thank you for the countless hours you gave to this community. Thank you for being part of EdgeGamers not just during one chapter, but across many of them. EdgeGamers is better because you were willing to give it your time, your energy, your humor, your patience, and your leadership. On behalf of everyone here: Thank you, Adam.
