This thread will provide continual patch notes for WARDOGS hotfixes and updates.​
 

WARDOGS SEASON 1 LAUNCH UPDATE​

Welcome to the WARDOGS update log. This is the Early Access launch build and includes major changes to progression, the economy, vehicles, performance and general quality of life.

GAMEPLAY & VEHICLES​

  • Z20 Lakota received a balance pass.
  • Fixed the Lakota's sluggish pitch controls.
  • Helicopter input damping now works across all input devices.
  • Vehicle turrets now have a maximum rotation speed.
  • Fixed a DPI issue that could affect tank aiming.
  • Reduced the Z20 Lakota chase camera rattle volume by 6 dB.
  • 155mm shells, 122mm shells and flare deployables now take up more loadout space.
  • Air vehicle kills now award 250 XP instead of 300 XP.
  • Fixed an exploit that allowed players to reach an unintended position on the church roof.

PERFORMANCE & STABILITY​

  • DLSS Frame Generation can now be turned off without restarting the game.
  • Render target pool settings are now configurable.
  • Reduced shadow cache refreshes to help reduce hitching.
  • Fixed multiple Frame Generation related crashes.
  • Improved GPU crash reporting.
  • Removed a legacy graphics dependency.
  • High performance PCs will now use Low shadows instead of disabling shadows completely.
  • Fixed crashes involving network calls.
  • Fixed a crash involving chatbox entry tooltips.
  • Fixed crashes involving buildable objects.
  • Fixed a crash caused by firing a weapon after its owner disconnected.
  • Dropped items no longer affect navigation calculations.
  • Improved startup reliability and added clearer startup error messages.

SERVER BROWSER & FRONT END​

  • Reworked server browser filtering.
  • Fixed Community Server images displaying at the wrong scale.
  • The Host a Server button now links directly to the hosting page.

VOICE CHAT​

  • Fixed voice chat permanently cutting out after a failed server join.
  • Improved voice chat reliability when servers are under heavy load.
  • Added visible communication status information.
  • Improved push to talk targeting.
  • Improved channel rejoining after disconnects.
  • Voice communication should now recover correctly after logging back in.

REPORTING & MODERATION​

  • Added a new report tracking system.
  • Reports are now weighted based on player reporting behavior.
  • Repeated or bad faith reports carry less influence.
  • Cheater bans can now be announced in the server.
  • The kicked from server message should now only appear when the player was actually banned.

PROGRESSION​

  • XP requirements were increased beginning around level 6.
  • Progression between levels 10 and 20 was slowed significantly.
  • Progression begins flattening again around level 35.
  • Bulkhead's target is for the median player to reach around level 20 after roughly 20 to 25 hours of play.
  • Level 10 now requires 35,000 XP instead of 25,000.
  • Level 15 now requires 110,000 XP instead of 54,750.
  • Level 20 now requires 250,000 XP instead of 111,500.
  • Level 25 now requires 325,000 XP instead of 192,000.
  • Level 30 now requires 400,000 XP instead of 293,750.
  • Level 35 now requires 500,000 XP instead of 416,500.
  • Level 40 now requires 650,000 XP instead of 551,250.
  • Level 45 now requires 800,000 XP instead of 689,500.
  • Level 50 now requires 1,000,000 XP instead of 838,000.

ECONOMY​

  • Forward Operating Base vendor price increased from $2,500 to $7,500.
  • Large Hammer vendor price increased from $1,600 to $2,400.
  • Artillery Tank unlock increased from $400,000 to $500,000.
  • 6-10x MRAD scope increased from $25,000 to $40,000.
  • 6-10x MOA scope increased from $30,000 to $45,000.
  • Medium Hammer unlock increased from $10,000 to $25,000.
  • Large Hammer unlock increased from $25,000 to $75,000.
  • Small Armoured Supply Crate increased from $5,000 to $10,000.
  • Little Bird with Miniguns increased from $25,000 to $50,000.
  • Z20 Lakota decreased from $50,000 to $35,000.
  • URAL decreased from $50,000 to $35,000.
  • Dune Buggy decreased from $35,000 to $25,000.
  • Kodiak Flatbed increased from $15,000 to $35,000.
  • Music Tape H decreased from $5,000 to $2,500.
  • Selling supply crate items worth less than $75 now awards 1 XP instead of 25 XP.
  • The supply crate purchase curve was reworked to prevent abuse involving low value items.

  • Sports Parachute: Level 36 → 35
  • Large Backpack: Level 56 → 55
  • 7.62x54mm AP: Level 83 → 82
  • 5.56mm AP: Level 85 → 83
  • Deagle: Level 90 → 85
  • Artillery Tank: Level 55 → 90

MEDIC UNLOCKS​

  • PP-19 50-round drum magazine: Level 33 → 29.

SUPPORT UNLOCKS​

  • Large Hammer: Level 7 → 8.

DRIVER UNLOCKS​

  • URAL: Level 4 → 3
  • Kodiak Assault: Level 8 → 6
  • Dune Buggy: Level 10 → 8
  • Kodiak Flatbed: Level 2 → 10
  • Large Supply Crate: Level 20 → 16
  • URAL Covered: Level 30 → 18
  • Music Tape H: Pilot Level 28 → Driver Level 23
  • URAL Attack: Level 40 → 25
  • Humvee with Minigun: Level 35 → 30
  • Heavy Tank: Career Level 35 → Driver Level 35

OTHER BALANCE CHANGES​

  • M4 shot deviation changed from 7° to 10°.
  • Mini Angled and Shift foregrips received vertical recoil adjustments.
  • 2.5x Combat Optic price confirmed at $690.
  • Holographic Sight price confirmed at $620.
  • Spectr 4x price confirmed at $800.
  • Adrenaline Pen price confirmed at $250.
  • Flakpanzer Gepard price corrected to $10,000.
  • Z20 Lakota confirmed with 13 seats, 445 km/h top speed and 120 L of fuel.
  • Build Tool is the Small Hammer.
  • Repair Tool is the Wrench.
 

LAUNCH STABILITY HOTFIX #1​

The first WARDOGS hotfix arrived just over four hours after Early Access launched. This update focused entirely on connection and launch stability issues and did not include weapon, economy or progression balance changes.

CONNECTION & SERVER STABILITY​

  • Addressed players being unable to join servers.
  • Addressed players unexpectedly being kicked during matches.
  • Addressed extremely long login queue times.

CLIENT UPDATE​

  • Players who were already logged in were required to restart WARDOGS.
  • A new client update was downloaded after restarting.
  • Players returned to the login queue after installing the update.
  • Players were gradually allowed back into the game in controlled batches.
  • Bulkhead increased the number of players being admitted as server stability was confirmed.

BALANCE​

  • No weapon changes.
  • No vehicle balance changes.
  • No XP changes.
  • No economy changes.
  • No unlock level changes.
 

WARDOGS PATCH 0.11​

Patch 0.11 focuses heavily on improving Community Servers and making the server browser easier to use. It also fixes cash exploits, addresses additional crashes and establishes clearer rules regarding economy abuse and XP farming.

SERVER BROWSER​

  • Server browser is now separated into Community and Official tabs.
  • Official Servers no longer have unnecessary filtering options.
  • Improved reliability of Community Server filters.
  • Added text search for Community Servers.
  • Added Show Empty/Full to the server browser quick bar.
  • Updated the Host button so it links to the correct hosting page.

COMMUNITY SERVERS​

  • Community Server IDs now stay the same between matches.
  • Server IDs now remain the same after server restarts.
  • Players can join Community Servers directly through their unique server ID.
  • Community server IDs are now longer for security reasons.
  • Server names now sort alphabetically regardless of special characters or numbers.
  • Servers can no longer use more than one consecutive space in their name.

COMMUNITY SERVER BONUS​

  • Community Servers received a temporary 5% End of Match cash bonus.
  • The bonus lasts for one week following the update.

FIXES & STABILITY​

  • Fixed various cash exploits.
  • Addressed additional GPU crashes.
  • Increased server capacity in Asia.

ECONOMY & EXPLOIT RULES​

  • Players abusing cash exploits can receive a timed ban.
  • Cash and XP can be reset to zero for exploit abuse.
  • Repeated offenses can result in longer bans.
  • Creating tutorials that teach players how to abuse economy exploits can result in a permanent ban.
  • Participating in XP farming servers for more than a few minutes can result in a permanent ban.
  • Briefly testing an exploit once or twice to confirm and report it is treated differently from repeatedly abusing it.

COMING TO COMMUNITY SERVERS​

These features were announced as being worked on but were not included in Patch 0.11.
  • Community Server favorites.
  • Tiered priority queues.
  • Message of the Day prompts.
  • Improved warmup activities.
  • Option to disable AFK kicking during server seeding.
  • Team switching controls.
