WARDOGS eGO Tag Policy Update
=(e)= =(eG)= =(eGO)=. These are the tags that have made EdgeGamers recognizable for the last 20 years. They're part of our identity, our history, and who we are as a community.
With the release of WARDOGS came Clan Tags and the debate over where our traditional rank tags should be displayed. Unfortunately, character limits have left us with a divided approach. Some members display their ranks through WARDOGS Clan Tags, appearing as [e], [eG], or [eGO], while others display their full tags, wings and all, in their Steam names, such as =(eGO)= Legend.
Starting today, we're making an effort to return to our roots and represent EdgeGamers the way our founders intended 20 years ago.
- All EdgeGamers members are encouraged to display their respective rank tag, =(e)=, =(eG)=, or =(eGO)=, at the beginning of their Steam name. This will become a requirement for anyone seeking promotion to an admin rank.
- Existing =(eG)= and =(eGO)= admins who hold authority in WARDOGS will be required to display their full rank tag at the beginning of their Steam name. Failure to do so may result in the removal of administrative privileges.
- WARDOGS Clan Tags are entirely up to you. Players are free to display whichever Clan Tag they prefer through the in-game Settings.
We understand this may be an adjustment, so we'll work with the community and provide friendly reminders in-game to anyone who may not have their tags displayed correctly.
Our =(e)=, =(eG)=, and =(eGO)= tags are more than just silly letters and symbols. They represent 20 years of history, community, and tradition. As we continue to grow, it's important that we preserve the identity that has made EdgeGamers recognizable since 2006.
