The idea is simple, create cards tracking people's involvement in our community, and allow members to showcase them on their profile / trade them, etc. We could even have variants for members who moved up the ranks i.e. Manager Jayy, vs eGO Jayy. @GardenGroveVW

I think these are an amazing Idea, I did something like this for a past community I was in. We were much smaller than eGO but there defiantly was an increase in activity, everyone wanted the fancy badges and achievements.

This is actually a really good idea! I think we could take it even further by implementing a trading card system similar to how Steam does it.

For example, players could randomly earn trading cards by playing on EdgeGamers servers. The more time you spend playing, the more opportunities you have to receive a random card drop. This would give people another reason to stay active on our servers and collect cards.

I also think every member with an EdgeGamers forum account should automatically receive their own personalized trading card. Here's how I imagine it working:

• Personal Trading Cards: Every registered forum member gets a unique trading card representing themselves.
• Three Copies: Each member starts with three copies of their personal card. They keep one for their own collection and can trade or give away the other two.
• Random Server Drops: Players can earn additional cards randomly by spending time on any of our supported game servers, similar to Steam's trading card system.
• Trading & Collecting: Members can trade cards with each other, complete collections, and showcase their favorite cards on their forum profiles.
• Rare & Special Editions: We could even introduce rare cards, limited-edition event cards, and special variants for leadership, achievements, or community milestones.

I think this would be an awesome way to encourage more activity across our game servers and forums while giving members something fun to collect and trade.

Plus, imagine trying to collect trading cards of all the different EdgeGamers members, especially some of the older or legendary members of the community.

It would basically turn EdgeGamers into its own little trading card economy, and I think that would be pretty awesome!
