Yes, it does work. The game drops all the old models and creates new ones for every player.

This can be seen as a corpse suddenly dropping at random places.

Wow, I thought it was a recent glitch but it's over a year old... and its happening more than ever. Almost every time I alt-tab I get it.

Thanks for the fix though, will really help not to have to restart DODS everytime.

There is another way to fix it, permanently it seems.

In the launch options add the commands -windowed -noborder . Then you need to launch the game and adjust the resolution and aspect ratio in video options so that the window fills the screen completely. And this makes the game run smoother and allows you to alt tab very easily.

I have not played DoD: S for awhile now since old computer refused to play it any more. I just got done building a new computer and installed and played DoD: S last night. I was alt tabbing in and out a lot to set up the keys on my gamepad and I saw both of these glitches repeatedly over the course of an hour. I was getting REALLY frustrated from getting shot on Donner in the wheel house from someone on the bridge and from the spawn or getting shot when I knew no one was around. I didn't call anyone a hacker since the person that kept shooting me from the spawn was an eGO, but I was wondering what the heck was going on. Thanks for the info! I'll have to try the permanent fix and give it another go. (Wasn't sure I was going to go back to play after all that going on and having 2 kills 19 deaths.) <--- Not my normal ratio! lol

not only does this help with performance and the glitches, but I can change my song on Zune without having to alt-tab

im not sure if this related to the same reason but i have also seen and herd of people seeing a teammate on the allies side appearing in a axis uniform or a axis appearing in a allies uniform i be leave it can be fixed the same way as you posted thank you for the post it was very well put

I'm having some troubles in general with glitches. Since about a week ago my screen has stuttered and information loss, then a corpse duplicates repeatedly in front of me.


I do run the record now and stop in console after alt-tabbing to prevent glitches and bugs, but it sometimes happens randomly during my game play as well

Any solutions to the spamming corpses?
