Need A Laptop For School, Any Help?

I currently have 900$ to spend on a school laptop, and I was looking at the MSI wind, which is a new ultraportable thats 499$, its 10", and a lot of people have given it great reviews, thought it was something that would be small enough for school, and cheap too.

Any suggestions?

I would say that you will probably wind up wanting a full-size laptop at some point. Those ultra-portables are hard to do work on. Think of how small your windows are going to be when you're trying to write papers, read content online, and read PDFs for example. You'll be switching between them and they'll all be very tiny. Plus, depending on the size of your hand you might get cramps if it's a small keyboard.

I would personally look elsewhere. With a student discount a 13" Macbook is only $999 and includes a 2.1GHz core 2 duo, 1GB of RAM, and a 120GB hard drive...plus you get a free ipod. If an Apple machine is that cheap, certainly you can find a PC laptop that will be comparable for around $800 or $900.

look on cyberpower they have really good deals and they have 14" laptops so small but big enough you can see the words on the screen lol

If it's just for school man, I'd honestly look around at HP, Acer or otherwise. If it's just for school you really don't need a lot of bells and whistles if any at all. I'd look into getting something entry to mid range level with a 15 inch screen. You may want to compare weight but most of the time it's not going to be that different.
