Pretty recent, but i grew out my hair way long, almost to my butt. I can even to the kickass Princess Leia thing with it now. Luckily, it doesn't lead to me feeling attracted to my brother... just in case you were wondering.

About to go on a magical photo journey spanning 4 years.....

Taken about a week before my first deployment to Iraq. I was in 514th Signal Company / 50th Signal Battalion / 35th Signal Brigade (Airborne). I had the distinction of being 1 of 1-200 Tropospheric Scatter Systems operators in use by the Army. I was a Private First Class when this photo was taken and a graduate of the US Army Airborne School.

This is me on a random FTX before 1st deployment. I borrowed a friend's M249 in order to take a "cool guy" picture. Actually taken before the picture above, but whatever. Still a PFC. I look like a real tool in this picture, haha.

This was taken at, as the sign indicates, Camp Echo/Ad-Diwaniyah, Iraq. I was there for about 2 weeks before re-location to a different FOB. I didn't like it here because I was exceptionally bored. I am the one in the "cool guy" crouch.

This was taken about..oh..7 months after the last picture. I have been promoted to the rank of Specialist and spent 70% of my time going out on mounted/dismounted patrols, QRF, and offensive operations against bad guys. The rest of my time was spent babysitting my communications equipment, which generally meant sleeping. I took this picture because it was the first time I had shaved in over a month, but for some reason that I can't remember today, I decided to keep that stupid mustache.

This was taken perhaps 3-4 weeks before re-deployment in 2005. The mural depicts all of the units that made up our regional brigade.

This was taken while on leave after returning from my first deployment.

From the last picture is a huge gap, including another trip to Iraq and a trip to Afghanistan. Both trips I was too busy to take pictures. This picture was taken last memorial day, which I happened to be on leave at the time. By this time, I have been promoted to Sergeant, have graduated from Ranger, Sapper, and Air Assault schools. Following my return from my first deployment, I put in a request for, and was granted, a transfer to USASOC - Army Special Operations Command.

I remained in USASOC until my End Term Service date which occured last month, Jan 2008. This is how I look as of last week. I am a guard of the most holy couch, and temporarily assigned the righteous duty of sustaining operations at Ft. Living Room.
