Im not sure what you mean, but that board is SLI, not crossfire.
Even if you only want 1 video card your going to want to go with a crossfire board just because of some compatibility issues that may pop up.

and as far as a performance decrease... none... its all compatible and ready to go, the only problem is the SLI and Crossfire thing,.

the card will work but think of it like this your board only has 1 lane of traffic a 2.0 slot has 2 the 4850 on a x16 board would be like a 3870

Chief, no.

Running PCI-e 1.X at 16x speed is exactly the same as PCI-e 2.0 in terms of performance. Current cards are just barely maxing out PCI-e 1.X 8x speeds, there's no way a single card can be bottlenecked with 16x bandwidth.

I know its an SLI board and having 1 ATI card will NOT have any affect on it what so ever. The reason I was wondering if there would be a performace decrease is because its a PCI x 16 2.0 card and my board has only PCI x 16. But from what im hearing, I won't have any performance decrease at all

I talked to Duality about this as well, and he said the same thing Havegooda

current cards don't even use the x16 bandwidth fully. Just to say, my SLI mobo will not take any ATI hardware, at all, it locks up on me...Just saying.

Mostly the 2.0 grafics cards are downgrade able, but you wont get the best performence out of them....

I was under the impression that 2.0 cards are perfectly compatible with 2.0 slots.

Please read the topic...

We haven't even maxed out PCI-e 1.x 16x bandwidth, there's no way a 2.0 card will be held back.

Huh?

Although very little about these forms of slots, I really think putting a 2.0 card into a regular X16 slot will have little decrease in terms of performance.
