So, i just got a new laptop and i wanna put jmy ipod songs on my new system. But i dont wanna transfer songs from my old dcomp to the new one or rips cd's day after day. So you guys know any programs that will reverse sync. Btw its a windows vista comp ..

Why are you bumping? Didn't like that answer? It seemed pretty good to me! I also don't like bumping, but that's a personal preference. You asked a specific technical question of an online game clan - you might want to ask this question in an iPod owners forum if you're not happy with the answers here.

Apple explicitly disabled the ability to sync back from an iPod to a computer. They don't want you to take your iPod to a friend's house and copy your (presumably copyrighted) music to his/her computer. There are a few ways to get around it, try Google for "itunes migrate library". One link seemed to have a good summary:

When I did this, I just copied the files from one computer to the other over the network. It didn't take that long. If you can get wired networking between the two machines, your copy speed is going to be pretty darn fast. Considering how much time you've waited to get this question answered, you probably could have copied the files already.

I've never had a problem with an iPod.

Using iTunes, just right click the iPod symbol and then click "transfer purchases"

Unless you don't buy your music.

Well, i only bumped it because i want more options available to me if it doesnt work. So yea. No rants in here or else.....

check out the stuff from www.redchairsoftware.com. You will have to pay to get a copy of it, but if your ipod is formatted for Windows (you can check this by going to the settings of your ipod) then you'll want "anapod". If it's formatted for a Mac then you'll want "copy gear" as is there is no version of "anapod" for the mac.

I used to use it all the time, but I finally broke down and just use itunes now. I couldn't figure out how to get the album artwork transferred to the ipod with anapod so I use itunes instead now.
 
ok heres what you do, you plug the ipod into the usb port, you open the port from your my computer menu, yo go and find the folders with all your music, put them in your itunes folder on the computer and then import them all to itunes, and there ya go all your music is there
