Headsets!

Well, I go through headsets like Dr. Death goes through penguin jokes, and I was wondering if there was some super-brand I was missing that will last me more than a month. I usually go with Logitech, as I have Staples, Wally World, and Shopko here and it is the only brand I've heard of.
What kind of headset should I get? ;\

I love my Sennheiser headphones. I have the HD 497 model, and a set of folding ones.. I think they're PX 200's. I have a mic that I use separately. I've had the HD 497's for a number of years now. I had to replace the ear pads on them last year, but that only cost $7 or so. They are very comfortable and produce a really nice sound.

You can get them online at a variety of places... shop around...

edit: it looks like they also make gaming headsets with integrated mics... go go go!

i've heard some good things from the saitek headsets. Sennheiser is known for some amazing sound products. can't go wrong with either, even though the price range on both can be quite large.

steelseries is the only headset with 7.1 cyborgs are good i have a barracuda and a icemat aka steelseries and the icemat is the best

Well now I'm having a problem with my substitute headset (until I can buy a good one). It is playing my inbound sound back. When I speak, it will play everything around me that I hear in game. I also cannot change my voice outbound in-game volume, every time I change it, it just reverts back to maximum. What the heck?

I've never cared much about audio, and maybe my choice shows it. I picked up a Plantronics headset from best buy for around $50 and it's nice and comfortable, and the mic is clear. It's a bit huge and makes me look like I have an orthodontal headpiece on, but I like it.

Best bit was I bought the extended warranty on it. Now I know they're mostly scams, and I wouldn't recommend it 90% of the time, but I too have problems with headsets falling apart on me so if this one breaks I just bring it back in and swap it out for a new one.

In theory, anyway, haven't had to test it yet.

try the microsoft live chat 3000 its a good brand and it has noice canceling earphones buy it on ebay in stores its like 40 bucks but in ebay around 14

I like these the most because they are conferring and they have 5.1 sound with 7.1 capabilities
