Keyboard issues

I need help. Ok, here's the deal:

1. ESC doesn't work to open the main menu. I must open the console to see the menu.
2. Alt+Tab dosen't work. <- Very bad.
3. I can't use q to normally quick switch weapons. In order for it to work, I must be stopped, not running or walking, perfectly still. When I stop and hit q it works fine. <-- Uber bad.

I noticed all this Monday. It was right after I updated TF2 from last weeks update. (I was out of town last week so that is why it did not update then.)

Any suggestions, this is really annoying. Thanks.

Edit: (Meant to put this in) I checked all the binds and they are mapped correctly.

Try doing "unbindall" in console, and then rebind everything.. might work.

So now I figured out the Alt+tab dosen't work in windows. Also today ~ and backspace stopped working in game. Is my KB dying? Its a laptop KB.

Unless backspace doesnt work for any program on your pc then I suppose it is dying. However I would just try a reinstall. Remember to delete the TF2 folder in your steamapps program files folder

Well the backspace thing and ~ seem to be glitches of when I minimize TF2. But Alt+Tab still doesn't work in Windows.

this happened to me once but with like s and c and x and it randomly started working again. I am honestly without a clue. try typing "bind esc" in console to see what it says

OK I tried playing CS:CZ and I have the same problem. So its not a bind issue. Then I plugged in an external KB and it all works fine. So I think I'll be replacing my laptop KB.
