Well my other computer that i play on is completly mest up and wont start it say 240 secounds then it just turns off. And when i press the power swiych it turns off addamatic. Pretty much its i get a new computer or I wont play anymore. Then there are you guys to help me out.
P.S Had the computer for 8 years.

the power supply is likely dead. If it's 8 years old, there'd be a ton of dust in there unless you've cleaned it out recently which could cause boot problems. Also possible that it's a different component causing problems, but power supply/dust are the most likely culprits.

when you turn it on do you get the first splash screen, or even to the start up screen that shows the componets and ram, ect.? What operating system is it? Can you give anymore information.

Wow 8 years, if I was still stuck with a computer that old I'd still have a Jurassic pentium 3, but this problem usually means you have blown capacitors on your motherboard. Open up your computer and check for small cylinders that have a different color or are bulging from the top. Yes its the best time to get a new computer.

here's the advice I can give you:

get a new computer
get a new computer
get a new computer
get a new computer
get a new computer

the poor old thing has lived a long time, I think it's time for you to put it to rest.

Something similar happened to me with my old 128 MB RAM PC (The graphics card was useless too, S3 Pro savage...wth?). Pay attention, do you smell something burning, do you see smoke? No one could figure out was wrong with my PC..not even the "professionals", there were three possibilities, 1. Something blew up in my computer, 2. It overheated, 3. It just died from being old....'

I know you don't wanna hear it but, you need a new computer.
