Ok guys i have decided to get a new CPU cooler (the one i have now is stock) so that I have OC more than 2.81 GHz.

Right now I have a Kensington Intel Duo 2 Quad Q6600 @ 2.4GHz overclocked to 2.81. I reach temps of a little over 60degrees C on a light load.

Right now im looking at the Thermaltake Duorb and the Thermaltake Big Typhoon VX. Remember this is for CPU slot LGA 775 CPU type.

If you guys have any suggestions and anything thats worked well for you plz share. Share temps you have experienced under load with your CPU cooler if you can if you have a quad core CPU.

Thanks,

What board do you have it on? Are you looking to oc higher?

You might want to take a look at the Xigmatek S1283 HDT rifle cooler, its the 2nd best cooler out there (1st is the Thermaltake Ultra 120 Extreme)

My current board is an EVGA 680i SLI edition. And yes, I would like to overclock to at least 3.0. I have heard that many people have even gotten it around 3.4GHz. But 3.0 would suit me fine.

Thanks for the replies guys, ill look into these.

The TRUE is always a good choice, but an OCZ Vendetta is on par, or even better in some tests for a LOT less.

I use a Zalman 9700...can hit 3.55Ghz pretty easily ;)

Yep ;)

Oh, forgot to mention that I'm on a Q6600, and they put out a LOT of heat -.-

Q6600 @ 3ghz 1333mhz fsb on a P5N-E SLI.

Yes they do, a LOT. I always wanted to go liquid cooling but my board can't push my quad beyond 3ghz so its a rather done deal.
