gaming lcd/hdtv

i (will) have a pair of Nvidia GTX280's in my hot hands.

if i get a 1080p hdtv made for gaming (supposedly)

would sli, gaming, ad everything else work as it does on a DVI monitor. Since it is a tv, will it be laggy?

It'll work for gaming, has low enough response time shouldn't be any problems... only downside to using a TV is the lower resolutions... for TV's HD resolutions like 720P and 1080P are great... but it's not new to the PC Monitor market, we've had higher resolutions then 720P for years... and a smaller PC monitor can go higher then 1080P.


But as far as it working, it will work and that TV has DVI input so it won't be any different... I think you might have to enable the 720/1080 resolutions in the Nvidia control panel tho since they aren't native PC resolutions..

As Kodiak says, the resolutions can be a problem particularly with reading text, but it should be fine, even great for gaming.

well what im thinking of doing it getting that TV, and mounting it on the wall right above my monitor. Do regular crap on my monitor and watch tv/ play games on my tv.
