Good full tower?

So I'm buying a new GPU...but it may not fit in my case...I have a mid tower that I want to get rid of, and my GPU needs an upgrade, since both cards are about 2 years old. What I'm looking for is an inexpensive full tower case with decent airflow, and isn't gaudy. :P Any suggestions?

Ok I would like to suggest thermaltake Rick. I dont want to stomp on these other companies (some of them really make nice computers) but these other companies make cases for mass producing and are assembled in their shops(their computers are not designed particularly well if you catch mah drift). Companies like thermaltake and zalman make cases for people who know what they are doing. Such cases are usually much better designed and will last longer. I found a pretty cheap thermaltake case for you(Thermaltake Shark) for about $140.00 If you want a premium case this is a pretty damn good deal for one seeing as I bought my Armor + case for 280 dollars.

I second this. My previous computer used the original Sonata, and my current one uses the Sonata III.

Which card are you dropping in it? My 9600GT is pretty long, not sure I would recommend anything very much longer.

if you mean can you take all the stuff out of your gateway and put them into any case? Short answer: probably yes.

Sometimes big computer companies use a few propreitary items, like the power supply or dvd drive, that's kinda funky -(i've seen a few smaller psu's in dell, for example) - that might not slip right into any computer case.

If you could open your gateway, snap a few pics of the guts, and post them in here, someone should definetly be able to give you a solid answer.

Antec Three Hundred. The damn thing is like $55. Great case. No BLEU LED'S and such.

Also: Lol at GTX 260. Enjoy ATI beating your card with it's own competitor at almost half the price. :)

Right on duct, I transfered all my proprietory gateway stuff to a bigger aftermarket case last year.

DR rick a 9800 card will just fit in this case if it didn't fit the hard drive rack is removable so you could move your hard drives to the upper racks or use a dremel type tool to remove the 1/4" of the rack case you would need to make it fit.

I've had good experiances with the Antec 900 case, it's very quiet even with all those fans on it. The blue lights are actually rather subdued and are barely noticeable at night. But best of all it is prime for a RAID configuration, just don't torque the screws too tightly into the HD trays as you might bend the trays.
