Ok, so today is my birthday, its almost over, but that doesn't matter, anyway, I got a new monitor for my birthday and was wondering what to do with my old one. Here is what i got, a 25.5" Westinghouse monitor (which came in great, no dead pixels!!! and the size is phenominal for me, upgraded from a 17".)
So now, the question is what to do with the puny Dell 17" sitting next to the new giant. There is a bunch of settings that can be done, but each has its weak links. So what do you guys think? Post about which would be the best use.
1.) Dual Display - The main big monitor is set as primary and the smaller one can have things dragged onto it such as extra web pages, ect. for multi tasking. Convinient, but however, the resolution is much smaller so it feel wierd dragging form one to another. Also I can't use it while in-game because it will minimize my game.
2.) Clone - Clones what I have on the bigger screen, cool for effect, however, the screen is much smaller than the big one so it has to scroll to the area where your mouse it to show where the pointer is (smooth transition.)
3.) Single - Don't use the old small one at all? However I like this idea, it feels like i'm throwing out a still useful display.

), and I have no problems with having them separate. The resolution's a bit weird, moving from 16:10 to 4:3 ratio, but it's really convenient being able to run all my chats and IRC on the right side while playing TF2/DoD/whatever on the left. I do play in windowed mode, though...fullscreen stuff does tend to flip out when clicking over to the other display.
