Oh nice man i want i want!(only if i knew how to do skins)

PM me if u need any help on downloading/installing any kind of skin, for DoD. I've got one for almost all weapons in DoD even the flags.

I tried these out the other day and i feel the advantage posed if any is too small to notice. If you feel like someone has an advantage by using this there is nothing stopping you from using this yourself. The only map in which i found it useful was strand and other sniping maps. There isnt a real threat posed but if you feel someone has the upper and then get them yourself. Its not cheating unless it breaks the definite rules of the game, the game was designed for the use of alternate skins. Also its redily available to anyone who is interested.

i also have the k98 skin. but not that one. i have the normal color but a aimpoint on. is amazing!

Using some skins might give you a little advatage such as your aim view,but id be more concerned with people who mouse scroll shoot or bind a key to there fire button,makes you shoot much faster.

I really don't like these skins...don't get me wrong they look awsome! But I think it gives the player with the skin a higher advantage over the others. And I just like using the Iron sights, I mean I use them in real life when I go hunting and what not! Also...they just dont feel right being on a WWII game. Just my own personal opinion!

I replaced my Iron Sights on the Kar (left Garand alone as it shot fine), not with this skin but with one that adds a green dot instead of the front sight. Mainly because my Iron Sights on the kar were off and badly inaccurate for some reason.

I couldn't hit what I was aiming at using them at a distance, though with the new one, the bullet goes where it's aimed at. Didn't have that problem last time I played long ago. Though could be my monitor/resolution/window mode settings that affect (I know in CS:S with windowed mode the way I play I have to actually click lower than an object to select it)

Why doesn't the customized skins work

My "customized" Elfa's Eotech Garand

And

My "customized" Viewpoint K98

re-aligned crosshair more towards the center, and changed from "classic" crosshair, to single dot

Also on Garand with higher resolution/graphics settings, on the side of the eotech where it usually says "eotech" (can only see when other player uses the weapon from the side tho) it now says =(eG)=Milwaukee, and the white you see on the secondary action (first screenshot) it says =eGO)=

anyone else have mean skins for any weapons?

Installation Guide

To install them, open the .rar file, and open your dod folder

example...

Crogram FilesSteamSteamAppsyournameday of defeat sourcedod


Now, highlight all 3 folders in the skins folder and drag and drop them directly into the dod folder, it will come up with this warning...

just click Yes to All, and they are installed and ready to use/be seen in your game

why doesn't the skins work, everytime i try to download it, the link says it is not working at this time. I just want to know if its doing to everyone else.
