No Sound!

OK first of all this is for a game that eGO DOES NOT COVER. But I was hoping that mabye someone who is part of eGO has the game Bioshock. The thing is that i havemenu music sound and the voices on the plane at the beginning but after that NO SOUND WHAT SO EVER.

I am running Windows Vista x32 with default sound drivers (I ccan't seem to find the name.) With a Sapphire HD 3870.

If someone could help me that would be great.

Note:I have never ran Windows XP before. I had Windows 2000 Prof. SP4 and then upgraded to Windows Vista.

I'm not sure. Do you have the latest directX version? Do you have the latest sound drivers for your sound hardware? I have Bioshock, and never had this problem, sorry.

Not to insult your intelligence, but the sound options are turned up in-game, and your speakers are on, correct?

Here is someone who claims to have found a fix for a Vista/Bioshock no-sound problem.

What is your sound device? I know that Asus' xonar Vista driver required a patch for Bioshock.

I turned on compatibility mode for Windows 2000
